AND SVN Build Thread

Rev785:
Mostly removals, but a couple additions.
  • New building: Warhead Factory (requires Advanced Rocketry, required for most nuclear units)
  • New founding movie for Naghualism
  • Deleted Battlefield Medicine, Quantum Teleportation techs
  • Anatomy tech moved to Renaissance Era, cost increased to 1600, requires Humanism, required for Scientific Method
  • Deleted tech arrow overrides for Rudder (looked confusing)
  • Pharmacy moved to Medicine, health increased to +2, cost to 270
  • Quantum Lab moved to Quantum Computing, gives +20 beakers, counts Research Labs instead of Universities
  • Factory base unhealth increased to 2
  • Hellenic buildings use Hellenism founding sound instead of Christian founding sound
  • King Richard's Crusade no longer listed as necessary to train Crusader units (Crusaders can't be trained, only appear automatically)
  • Masada no longer gives science bonus
  • Seafaring trait no longer gives Amphibious promotion to Helicopter units (all Helicopters start with Amphibious by default)
  • Spiritual trait no longer gives +1 happy from Monastery

Asatru and Shinto will follow in a future build; I need some time to properly merge all the changes. It should be no later than the end of this week.

Rev 786:
  • Add # of cities prerequisite to Warhead Factory (default 8)
  • Remove Can Move All Terrain ability from Rover

It was ONE beaker. That made absolutely no sense to have. I think Masada is powerful enough, especially with 2 free Priests and +1 hammer from all Priests. I'm trying to cut down on a lot of these little out-of-place bonuses.

@ Vokarya, Alforess and 45 degree.

Are you guy's conferring and in agreement with all your updates? I respect you all but it seems like a lot of chefs in the kitchen if you are not doing this.

Yes. If we weren't, I would say something.

Of course; sometimes some minor changes are pushed in without discussing every single detail but should problems arise we can discuss to come to an agreement. :)

How about "one city challenge"? Can I build warhead factory then?
Also, I like the idea to make bombs harder to create. At my current game AI-s made about half of land scorched desert, and half will be next.

I've never tried but I think occ has different rules and number of requirements is always reduced to 1.

I also thought so. And it is so usially.
But, for example, in my current OCC game I cannot build "National treasure".
It requires 4 cities from me and I cannot give it :)
Of course treasure is not a big deal, but possibility to create bombs - is important, that's why i clarify this moment.

@ Val3, you haven't hit the national wonder limit already have you.

Even with OCC, you have a limit, granted its larger, 2 V's 5 in BTS, so scale up 4 v's 10 in RAND?? or even scale up based on cities culture, you may find more head room later.

*Note to self, try this out*

Revision 787

Added SpecialistCommercePercentChanges to buildings.
JS Bach's Cathedral gives +2 culture to priests.

Vokarya, I ended up calling the new tag SpecialistCommercePercentChanges instead of SpecialistTypeCommerceChanges because the name can match the Civic tag of the same type, and it gives you the flexibility to assign fractional commerce changes.

Sounds good to me, although I probably wouldn't want to use less than +1 per specialist. One totally minor nitpick: would it be possible to close up the space between the number and the icon without it looking too awful? If you look at Bach in the Civilopedia and compare the +2:culture: from Priest to the inherent +6:culture:, there seems to be more space between the +2 and the :culture: icon than between the +6 and the :culture: icon.

Feel free to play with TXT_KEY_CIVIC_SPECIALIST_COMMERCE_CHANGE and see if you can get it to look to your liking. That is the text key that both the civic specialist and building specialist stuff uses.

Taking out a space there did it. I was afraid that it was built in CvGameTextMgr.cpp and that is a place that I cannot go. I'll change that when I do the other Wonder changes.

The text isn't perfect, though. I converted Bauhaus School over to +2 culture from Engineers and I noticed some differences; the commerces text is missing the "in All Cities" and the mouseover text is missing the highlighting of the specialist type. It isn't a super-high priority to fix, but for the sake of uniformity, I think it should be fixed at some point. Look at the attached screenshot.
