AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

What happened to building cities on peaks? Was that scrapped because it never worked properly or for some other reason?

It's still working but I've had some reports that for some reason it doesn't work on some occasion, on certain specific peaks. :(

Well, it is a very useful feature even in single player games. I used to sign my cities what to specialize them (trade, science, military, etc).
Does it work in C2C?
As far as I know no, it doesn't work in C2C either.

Would you like the save of that first game with the OOS about units ? Or more logs based on that same save ?
I also have saves from that game at different times from the start.

I think was some civics or a wonder that does affect unit upgrades around the era where we had to stop because of the OOs, maybe it has something to do with this.
Logs might be useful if you have full logs for both players. I can't do much with a savegame. Thanks

Didn't seem to be a problem in 1.75, and it's not a problem present in base BTS, but we don't know what caused it or how to fix it. Frankly there's been more pressing issues since then than fixing Signs - fun as they may be (Tho they're pretty important in MP games for some folks...)

I recall trying to solve this problem and it was there in AND 1.75C, I'll check again when I have time.

Very strange... I could have sworn I remembered using them back then, but it's been so long I could very well be remembering incorrectly

The AI seems rather inflexible, and pretty vulnerable, in the early game. Playing as a leader with the Deceptive trait, I noticed that almost every AI takes the religious route to alphabet before almost any other tech. So if I rush with Axes or 5:strength: Archers (easy with monarchy), I can usually wipe a good 1/3-1/2 of the civs off the map and nab some wonders (colossus, great lighthouse, art of war) in the process. Most civs seem to nab mathematics before archery, with archery only grabbed when teching to warfare. Can Archery be given a bit more priority?

Which revision are you using?
Quite some revisions ago there was a problem where the AI - without fail - would always go straight to Calendar/Mathematics while skipping EVERYTHING that wasn't a part of the required techs along the path. In very rare cases a religious nut like Isabella would take time to go for a religion, but then it was back to the Math Craze.

They shouldn't be doing that anymore though

Bug or game play anomaly,

When you FIGHTING the Japanese empire, their archers and longbows will shoot red Circles at you instead of arrows.

Its more a visual thing then anything, but its the only civ I've noticed doing this.

@Phylhom: thank you for that information!

I noticed that when pillaging improvements in enemy lands, I receive no :gold:. Bug? Intended?

If the civilization you're pillaging in has the Samurai Castle, that makes it so enemy nations can't receive :gold: from pillaging inside their borders.

If it's doing it for EVERY civilization in the game... Then I'd assume bug

Still in the late Ancient-Classical era, so no Samurai Castle yet... then, it's a bug.

Here's a save, rev 878, was trying out the high to low option.

Try to pillage some of the Viking improvements.

Tested, you get the gold but you don't get the message, I'll try to fix that.

That was quick :)

I hadn't even thought of checking if my :gold: changed :crazyeye:

Ah, I've had that happen quite often. Usually when I'm pillaging with a stack (Which I still wish functioned like in BTS - where the whole stack will pillage in one go instead of having to do it one stage at a time. Very annoying for fully grown cottages, Industries, and Mines....)

Also, I think the Dutch Heavy Swordsman is bugged. When he's in wait position, instead of the usual texture, a red blob appears.
