AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

I can't read :(

Also ack do I hate the way that site is designed.. oh well

I've used a ton of issue trackers before. The ones on Sourceforge, Github, JIRA, RTC, Redmine, Bugzilla, etc. They all are horrible. They are all over-designed, ultra-complex, and make assumptions about a very strict project hierarchy and leadership. We have no project hierarchy. We have no mod leader. We need a simple tool to track things we need to do, and things we have done.

Trello isn't actually an issue tracker. Trello is a an organizing tool, with cards a lot like note cards... It just so happens that this layout is perfect for small project management.

rev 937, just updated.

when using Spacebar the units instead of simply waiting (i.e. doing nothing), lose their movement points for the turn.

Yeah, I am pretty sure this is my fault. I will fix in a few hours.

The only real drawback I've found on Trello is that the archived cards are really hard to restore (or I may have missed the button?). Otherwise, it's really nice for a small project if we have less than 50 bugs (which hopefully, we will ever have :D).

From the main board area, show menu -> menu -> archived items, will show every archived card there, as well as a search box to find specific ones.

Thank you! I totally forgot about the menu! Then there is no drawback ;)

I don't disagree with the dislike of all of those especially JIRA... I really like bitbucket but if I remember no one around here like mercurial so there is allot of extra crap on there no one would use :D

Switching version control at this point wouldn't be worth the effort.

I've another bug to report about that "Dark Age" event which I hate so much.

After it ended, the city didn't update it's food counter. So while the tile map showed three food on the centre city square, the city-view "food produced" mouse-over pop-up said just two food from worked tiles. So all my cities which had shrunk won't grow back.

Cheers, A.

I tried to attach a file. Where is it?
Ah, now it worked...

Update: as someone else already noted, Ctrl-Shift-T seems to have "fixed" it.

Hi guys,

i have 2 things here: First - i have the strange feeling, that the field-general didnt get points anymore. I had an epic battle and 5 of my generals didnt even get one promotion. Big battle - more then 300 fights. (You could use my last save here for this - i played ~ 10 - 15 turns only)

Second thing: The AI - my enemy had at least 300 - 400 Units on a tile. I had 150 i think. Well i attacked with arty first - then my infantery - he falls back and destroyed the street - nice one! I send in 6 workers - rebuild it - attack again. And next turn again. The huge Stack of my enemy didnt even do one counter-attack! They were able to to so - they had after the first attack ~ 200 units left - 60 guns into this army. But he did.. nothing. Stand there, let me rain hellfire upon him - all i lost were 30 arty in 3 turns and lets say 5 - 10 other units. His casulties: Everything.

He also didnt attack my ally with this stack some turns ago - the city was defended with 5 units. Attacker had at least 300. Oh - and i am on the highest difficulty on the newest Update. Its a bit wired... can you explain this?

Field Generals have a limited number of control points. Each battle they assist consumes a point. After they are exhausted they can no longer assist in battles and earn no xp. Control points are reset each turn.

I know this. But they even didnt get ones after the fight atm. They have something like 0.06 Points still after 2,3 turns with much battles...

Have you lost any battle before winning the others? GG might have consumed his points when you lost those battles

To fix: Change the "Safari" improvement name to "Natural reserve". That would be more generic and it's a nicer name :) (reported by Kroji)

Upgrading units changes experience to lowest whole number so if I had a unit with 15.51 xp and I upgrade it, it will only have 15xp after upgrade. Long standing bug.

I've also seen some silly AI army tactics, somewhat different to MercuryBluefalc though. A reasonable stack of enemies waltzed up to my Fort, but instead of attacking with all 26 bombards and then with ground troops in one devastating hit, they sent one bombard to its death each turn. Don't know why they tried that strategy, but it didn't work for them.

I think this is an interesting bug: some cities are revolting and I choose "Defect and lead rebel army!". I get control of a couple of units, I can move them to attack the city but when the battle is being zoomed in, even if I win the battle, it stays like that: zoomed in and I can't do anything else but reload the game (and it doesn't work anyway, I can't reload that save)

Savegame before and after defection:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bjgwharup...-0430-AFTER DEFECTION.CivBeyondSwordSave?dl=0

If you try the savegame before defection, autoplay for a dozen of turns and you'll have a chance to defect and lead the rebel army.

Edit: Also if I don't attack the city and try to skip the turn, turn never ends.

I think this is due to my recent change in siege assault. My changes were probably missing the point as most of the problems are generated by xUPT. When disabling it, the catapult were probably working. Either Afforess or I should revert this part of the code and I'll need to make deeper changes for xUPT later.

EDIT: Could someone gather some savegame showing silly AI assault? I would use this as a base for development.
