Thats not what the LAPD concluded or what the 2 eyewitnesses thought happened. You seem to be trying very hard to find something to blame the victim for.

I have. It isn't conclusive.
But you and Berzerker apparently feel you are better qualified to judge what happened than the eyewitnesses, the police who investigated the matter, or the jury who considered all the evidence.

I wouldn't agree given the eyewitnesses say she tried to pay but even so that isn't what happened is it? She was shot as she was leaving without the OJ

The 'something' is obvious from the video, she attacked a store clerk who caught her with OJ in her back pack. I dont know what the cops and witnesses concluded, if she was shoplifting the OJ it wouldn't have mattered to the case against the clerk. I dont know how you can watch that video and think she was trying to pay for the OJ.

Her reaction to the clerk was not that of an innocent shopper. It looks to me like she put the OJ in her back pack and tried to buy something else at check out and the clerk busted her for the OJ. I doubt the witnesses were paying much attention to the exchange leading up to the struggle, they just knew the girl was at the counter paying for something. Hey, she had money in her hand... And that proves it was for the OJ she was hiding from the clerk? That doesn't make sense.

18 is considered an adult. Yes, sometimes under 18 can be tried in court as an adult, but anything under 18 can be called a child if adult and child are the only two choices.

I would use more than two choices. My choices would include baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult, 'old man/woman'.

Calling a 17 year old a child is kind of a grey area. Yes it can be done, as a 17 year old is someone's child and isn't an adult (sure, an adult is someone's child too, but adults should never be called children). No doubt calling a 17 year old a child is often used for emotional effect, but is kind of true.
