Are you what's wrong with the world?

Well his arguments are a bit more naunced then that, obviously, he objects to the massacares and injustices but battles for the good features of our Glorious Empire.

Yet the two cannot really be separated, imo.

Is that Ayaan Hirsi Ali?

WTH

Seriously?

I just don't understand why knowing what these scientists look like would matter at all? Shouldn't it be more important to understand/have a basic grasp of what they theorized or wrote than to be able to identify their pictures?

Because good general knowledge will make you look like a bloody genius these days. Many of you here move in far smarter social and educational circles than me. Trust me, I pull up this thread at work and name 3 guys on this list, well you haven't seen oohs and aahs like that since new years fireworks.

Yup. Why not?

Well, considering the coffee machine at my work has contributed more to academic discourse than her, I wouldn't expect her to be in a list with Einstein and Curie.

What is wrong with the world is a matter of debate, but Snooki is a symptom of those problems, not the cause of them. Neither is knowledge of the aforementioned individuals on the left the solution.

On the other hand, this picture does correctly show that the Left has more intelligent people than the Right.

^^No. But it could be that if a population as a whole is more interested in rational thought and scientific enquiry than in mindless celebrity, it might be a good omen.

So, you think we should all become Vulcans then? Fascinating.

So you think we should all abandon rational thought and watch TV? Boring.

I can't see Niall Fergusion on that picture (i can see his woman) bit of a shame really, quality historian.
Yes, an apologist historian of questionable reputation definitely belongs into a cross-section of mankind's first dozen brilliant minds.

I think the major flaw in this exercise is that most of the books I read about topics related to the people on the left don't have pictures. If they do they are diagrams explaining their work, not of the people themselves.

The person on the right, however, is a TV star. A medium of pictures.

On the other hand, this picture does correctly show that the Left has more intelligent people than the Right.

I suggest you never look up the politics of the Jersey Shore crowd, as it will obviously disappoint you...

I find it illogical for you to infer such an opinion on my behalf given that I have not expressed such an opinion nor alluded to it.

I find it illogical that you presume my opinion could be that we should all become Vulcans.

And also you can, apparently, believe yourself capable of determining what I am thinking. Illogical, cap'n.

Right wingers are not stupid.

They're crazy. Big, big difference. If they were stupid I would sleep far easier at night. ;)

I guess I am what's wrong with the world. I've known for a long time that all the problems in my life are my fault, and I failed at trying to do anything to solve those. If I can't even do that, I'll just be no good at helping to make the world better.

I only recognised some of the people in the left of the picture, I don't know whose on the right.

I think you're the canary in the coal mine. When you're happy, I think the rest of us will have cracked the problem. More or less.
