Besides some people are completely clueless, I had a girlfriend whose idea of sex was to lie on her back with her arms in the air and stay still, and she was "experienced" (/a slut/village bike).
Regular practice and experience make perfect, but a lesson or two to begin with puts you on the right track.
After you need to be shown the ropes some how with every other skill, why should sex be different?

@ CivGeneral: I've seen pictures of you. You are not unattractive. If you were to get yourself into shape, adopt (continue?) good grooming habits, speak with confidence and generally be out going, you will eventually snag a girl who will fall in love with you. The #1 key is to have good self-esteem and self-confidence. If you don't even like yourself, how is anyone else supposed to like you?
Also, know where to look. Bars & dance clubs are bad, especially for guys like you and me because they generally attract the wrong type of girl for us (superficial, focused on outward appearances - instead of looking for a meaningful relationship). Social groups are a good place to start. Find a group of people sharing one of your interests (like anime), attend meetings to establish a presence and then attempt to strike up conversations with others.
[Edit:] Joining an anime club is actually a pretty good idea since they're usually crawling with girls. That's actually how I met my wife, now that I stop to think about it.

Don't know about everyone else, but in my part of the world the general fashion trend for women is the low rise jeans that shows off their shapely rumps.
Maybe I'm not looking at guys' rumps, but the shape of a girls back side looks out of proportion sometimes. She can be really thin and still have a butt bigger than most guys (proportionately to waist size and height). Is this the result of pants design? Or do girls like this simply work out really hard to get this shape. Maybe the size of the hips, but they have very thin waists as well.
Another question, thoughts on man-breasts? Should chubby dudes wear bras when they have cup sizes bigger than the average woman? I thought of this from seeing Homer Simpson owning one And it seems like men's bras make a lot of sense, but it's always said jokingly...

Bras are for keeping your boobies up where they look best, locked in place so they're not bouncing around too much, which can be unsightly and/or painful. I would suggest a man bra if the man boobs in question were bouncing around in an unsightly or painful manner.
