Added performance with shashka (weapon) is not traditional thing, just trendy last years.

It's a song about a young Cossack and a young Russian girl (which was abducted by a Chechen and than he lost his pants xD Idk. (maybe young Russian girl cuts off Chechen's pants with a saber ?
) My text seems a bit strange, maybe it looses something in translation. Anyway I guess it's a traditional Cossack's song/dance with sabers. btw. I think there's a better video :Spoiler :

Hard to tell what will sound for you. The music of the era is certainly distinct. So, a couple entries. I think both convey the mood of changing times rather well, much like the that KINO track you posted (excellent choice). It’s interesting how musicians of the time captured the wind of change, each in their own way.
First is “Aquarium - Plane” (as in plane of existence).
And here’s “Alisa - Energy“, full album from 1985.
Sometimes I come back to listen to both when I need that 80-ies vibe.
