They are very nice.

I dunno, rocks don't sound very delicious.

Obligatory clip with Flight of the Conchords.

Australians are like, "Where's the car?" and we're like "Where's the car?" ...
Hey. Them crazy Kiwis, eh?

That's the first time I've seen Flight of the Conchords (I didn't even know it was spelt like that), but I'd heard plenty of their stuff on the radio - they are seriously funny.

I don't have any trouble telling an Australian accent from a New Zealand accent. Australian accents are very distinct. On the other hand, I can't tell a South African English speaker apart from a New Zealand English speaker.

Link to video.
This guy has a very mild South African accent, but then he starts talking in Afrikaans and it's clearly a Dutch accent. So when he goes back to his everyday accent you can still make out the Dutch underneath.

It is kind of similar to both Australian and New Zealand accents. In a way. But only very superficially.

So it's a generic trademark designation too?

"Potato gem" is not a trademark.

Okay, but why "gems"? "Tot" can mean a small measure, and it's alliterative with "tater".

"Tot" should not be used to call food. It sounds too much like "trots"

Yeah they're a pretty niche product.

So these things are kinda like Patatas bravas but without the sauce and with a coating.

Similar idea, but patatas bravas are simply chunks of potato, rather than being chunks reconstituted from potato offcuts.

Yeah, okay, I get it.

:rotfl:

Hmm I need to make patatas bravas again soon.
