That's the first time I've seen Flight of the Conchords (I didn't even know it was spelt like that), but I'd heard plenty of their stuff on the radio - they are seriously funny.

I don't have any trouble telling an Australian accent from a New Zealand accent. Australian accents are very distinct. On the other hand, I can't tell a South African English speaker apart from a New Zealand English speaker.

This guy has a very mild South African accent, but then he starts talking in Afrikaans and it's clearly a Dutch accent. So when he goes back to his everyday accent you can still make out the Dutch underneath.

It is kind of similar to both Australian and New Zealand accents. In a way. But only very superficially.
