Ask me anything about Episcopalianism, how it relates to me or other people, etc.

Not too many at once, though. Though I don't expect very many.

Episcopalianism is the American branch of the Anglican church, though its beliefs are occasionally different, with Episcopalianism generally being more Protestant and liberal while Anglicanism being more Catholic and conservative.

Did you get moderator permission for the creation of this thread?

Did you know that Fifty Q Fiftyson is a baptized Episcopalian? :)

Mod permission?? Darn. Delete this thread plz!

Sorry. I made this out of ignorance. Please don't give me infraction points!

I am deeply sorry for this breaking of forum rules. Thank you.

There's no need to request a deletion automatically. Just ask a mod for permission and continue answering whatever questions until they accept or reject the request.

Would you say you're religious even? And if not, why do you feel you adequately represent Episcopalians? Also, how are Episcopalians "different" even? Aren't they like your generic Americans or something? [/ignorant]

I say a somewhat represent Episcopalians adequately, I know their standings, I have always been one, I am indeed religious, very religious even.

Why is the 2-3 Ep. population so small in America when world wide it is 77million.

Would it be a problem if your life partner was catholic, orthodox or belonged to some other branch of Christianity other than Episcopalianism? How about something semi-Christian like mormonism or a Jehova's witness? Or a whole other religion, like Islam or Judaism?

(This question is perhaps more directed in general to Christians in the US belonging to a narrow denomination, because it's something I have always wondered about, but right now I'm asking Capac)

What is the root of this crazy word and what does it mean?
Episcopalian and Episcopal refer to episcopal polity, the governance of a church by bishops, and adherence to this doctrine. In the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, the term is often used to imply Anglicanism and churches belonging to the Anglican Communion. In general usage, an Episcopalian is the adherent, while Episcopal refers to the church and governance structure.

WOO FOR WIKI

How many Gods do you worship?

Am I going to hell?

As a non-partisan observer, I can answer. Yes, he's going to hell. In fact, he's already in hell for not believing that the Pope is the head of the Christian Church.

On-topic: Why aren't you a Catholic?

Why are you Episcopalian and not, say, Baptist or Methodist or any other Protestant denomination?

Is it a choice you made after evaluating the differences between each Protestant cult, or are you one because you were born one?

And if the latter, have you at any point in your life evaluated if it was, actually, the right choice for you?

How did it end up being named Episcopallian anyway ? (I have some ideas ...) Damn Bil300 partially answered it ... Anyway do you do any animal or human sacrifices ?
