What Iranian contributions to the world are you the most proud of?

So where did you go into exile bloh and for what reasons?

My parents went into exile because of the revolution. Thus they fled out of the country and moved somewhere else, which is why I am here now.

They were a supporter of Shah and hated Khomeini, in fact many people now both in Iran and both outside Iran are starting to realize what a screw up they did when revolting against a Shah.

A new video has came out how a old lady says "Javid Shah" (Long live Shah) loud in Iran and then singing some poem that says.."We don't want arabs in our country, we are not arabs.." or something along that can't remember.. and with arabs she mean the arab government. Khomeini was orginally Indian and Khameni, the #1 leader in Iran is actually turk.

Iran was during the time of Shah, a paradise.

What Iranian contributions to the world are you the most proud of?

Hard question, but the first thing I liked most of all was the Human Rights Charter. It proved that during those times we were the first ones to care. The first ones to ban slavery (Cyrus the Great) yet, I never see any good about the Iranian culture in any school history books, only when "Spartans" attack us.

What they don't mention is how many times we kicked Spartans or the Greece in the ass, how we owned the Romans even though they were much more than us.

I love all these: http://www.pitt.edu/~sorc/iranian/BeingIranian.htm
Plus a lot more that haven't been known, the first Brain surgery in Iran, the first insurgence system, the first secret police , condom , cakes etc etc.

They happen. This is what the islamic government is, destroying lives and ruining for others while you can read the high-positioned leaders themselves are caught with many prostitutes etc.

Every country has homosexuals, I didn't answer to that question because it's not serious. Do you honestly think I know the exact number? It's like any other country, perhaps the older generations see homosexuality as a bad thing but the new generation Iranians (young people etc..) see homosexuality as no big problem. It's the government.

Those black dressed people exist everywhere, even in cities and these girls with modern clothes often get in fight for breaking rules of Islam etc. Of course, the poorer areas are more fundamental! Lack of information, only by tradition and past they go forward.

That's kinda what I thought. Thanks for confirming it. The younger generations have their hands full! I rarely see anything about Iran at all, and when I do it's usually some extremist story. You have to read between the lines, like noticing that quick little video of modern, normal looking young people, to get the whole story.

No matter how much I don't like this government. No matter how much this the government is destroying the lives of Iranians, destroying Iran.

I, among with all exil-Iranians would gladly fight for Iran to keep the enemy out.

Changing the government in Iran won't work with USA bombing, it was USA that put this government in power.

Well the time for change is NOW. You can bring back the Shah days. Another Revolution must occur.

Persian boy:

Are there any Christians, Jews, or Zoroastrians in Iran (I'm not asking for statistics, just about your general area, i.e. have you seen churches, met Jews, etc.)?

How many political parties are there actually?

Do people support the President (Again, of the people you've met and seen)?

Zoroastrians only exist in India as the "Persis" caste, nowhere else in the world. They fled during the Arab invasions, rather than convert to Islam.

The revolution is nearing. Imperial Iran is going to rise again.

Well, Persian Boy seems to not be active anymore if you want I can answer.

Yes, there are Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians.

I have no idea however they don't matter. They are all the same . .. .. .. ., supporters of Islamic Iran. They have a coalition with each other too.

No. Islamic Republic sucks.

Zoroastrians only exist in India as the "Persis" caste, nowhere else in the world. They fled during the Arab invasions, rather than convert to Islam.

Some are still in Iran. But you are correct, they fled to India.

Do you like abortions?

To be honest; I haven't really thought much about this. In some cases, yes but in some cases, no.

For instance in case of the person being a sick, yes it should be allowed. For just because one doesn't want to, no.

Well. I am not a expert on that area, but Bahai's get teased although they can live in Iran like jews, christians, zoroastrians etc.

Of course, jews, christians, zoroastrians get teased too. Like when searching for job, or school etc.

Not that I support this Islamic Government.

Bloh, you don't seem particularly fond of your government. Is this a fairly typical sentiment in Iran, or is it primarily a youth thing, or what? It's hard to separate between all the different views everyone is putting forward. (From "Everyone is happy here!" to "they're miserable and want us to invade and get rid of Ahmadinejad for them ;) ")

There are still some Zoroastrians in Iran. :) Just not all that many left.

Robopig, long time no see! My Indian-American friend!
Is this another random Persian thread?

The real question, how you Persians feel about Sparta 300?

Bad. The movie 300 was made in a very bad situtation. Right in middle of all the tense between Iran and the rest of the world, there comes a movie to trash the Iranians even more.

That movie is 99 % historically incorrect. Xerxes never looked like that, although we had those immortals which we call "Garde Javidan" .. the "special commandos" who is ALWAYS full in numbers. As soon as one of those die, quickly they can find a replacement for them! They are the king's personal elite soldiers basically. One of those can take a few spartas all alone if you ask me.

Anyway, there have many cases where the greeks or romans have been more than us (Iranians) but got their asskicked. Sadly, I am pissed at our "Iranian arab government" who quickly as soon as someone diss Islam, they burn things, attack, demonstrate.. but when someone disses our history, our empire.. all that arab monkey did was complaining to UN.

People say.. "Oh it's just a movie" but you have no idea how many times people have told me.."Was it really like this?" .."Haha you got your ass kicked by 300 spartans when you were 1 million".. Come on! It was ENOUGH for the one million soldiers just to piss and there would been a flood, or it was enough for all these soldiers JUST TO RUN at the Spartans they would of died.

We never held slaves. Read about Cyrus the Great, he completely banned slavery. He introduced insurance for the workers etc, even if there were slaves - they got paid! (salary). If you want I can give you some links to some Iranian people thoughts.

There are basically two groups of Iranians, the exil Iranians and the Iranians in Iran. I am a exil Iranian. We fled out of Iran because of the revolution, otherwise I wouldn't be here now. I would of been executed, and trust me, the Islamic Republic in Iran are fighting hard to kill all the exil Iranians making trouble for them. Just last week on the Iranian New Year, Islamic Republic killed a Iranian monarchist (rich one too, that supported monarchists, that fought against Islam) and since he was rich, the government in Iran was taking a big hit. They killed him (by stabbing him, a woman did it) .. Look up Dr Manoucher Farhangi. He also owned a university I think in Spain.

Lately in Iran there have been many riots as well. Just two days ago there was one, they were insulting the leaders, the government, the police, the military.. with HARSH radical insults. Not even during the revolution -79 they called Shah these bad words. Things are happening. People are not happy in Iran, but this is a famous saying: (I am not sure if it's true or not, but it's 100 % correct!)

the Shah was once feeding his fishes when he was outside Iran (after revolution) and his wife, Farah, told him.. "Haven't you fed them enough now?! Come in!" and the Shah responded: "No, if I had fed enough - they would of revolted against me."

Basically this is how it is. People today are living in such horsehockey way that they just can't rise up and revolt. Especially this government who will KILL, show no mercy like the Shah did. The Shah told the military to not OPEN FIRE at ALL, or shed any blood. But these arabs running the government, like Ahmadinejad etc.. they show no mercy if people revolt. They will kill, destroy, bomb, attack, fight.

@Elhohir, bloh is an exiled Persian/Iranian when his parents fled Islamic Republic. He does want to get rid of the Islamic Republic, but he doesn't want a US invasion.

Correct. If US attacks, what does it matter? They put this Islamic Republic in power, this time they will probably put the terrorists MOK/MEK in power. And trust me, they are much worse than Islamic Republic.

I can give you more reasons why USA shouldn't attack if you want to know.

Does you like embryonic stem cell research?
I am not religious at all. I hate all religions.

Any research that helps animals/humans and the world have my fullest support.

I want to believe you but how exactly is this going to happen? I don't think those riots are enough.

The new generation is rising. The young people who ask their parents (me being one..) What were we? What are we now? More and more young Iranians today are supporting the Shah (I am not joking or lying, in fact very surprised myself).

Books that never was out, are coming out. A new book is on the way proving how USA, UK and other western countries along with the seven sisters (oil companies) were behind this revolution, funded it and planed it. (I can, if you want - say some of it to you right now) These books have never came out before. As soon as these books come out, more and more people both in Iran (smuggling the books) and in the world, will once find out about it thus more people will rise. (PS, the book will be in English and Persian/Parsi)

Again, as you said.. these riots are not enough, no. But never in my life have I seen 6-7 riots in approx 1-2 months. People are SLOWLY rising. A bit riot here, a bit riot there, soon it will be a huge riot.

I like the sanctions that are being done. I support them. The more weak the government are, the less they can fund the police, military etc. The more people can stand up against them, atleast those who can!

Please ask more questions. It's a big pleasure. I am glad to be here. I don't want people to look bad about Iran, or think Iran is a terrorist country. Iran was called "Island of Stability" during the time of Shah, by USA - "in a troubled area"

Also, something for you to enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZoXXfKxTs
