When my cup of tea goes solid, I'll consider it ;). Seriously, I don't use the central heating except very rarely - I've had it off with snow on the ground

There's a compatriot. :)

I have a 60W lightbulb in my desk lamp, so I don't really need to have the heater on until the day temperatures begin approaching 0 degrees.

Right now it is about 23C and I am in long pants and a jacket. It rarely gets cold here, so I am with azza on the settings. But I do work in front of a furnance a lot, so I am used to heat, not cold.

Aren't those things banned in Europe starting September 2011? CFLs don't give out heat like an incandescent bulb does.

55. If it is too cold in my apartment, bring a jacket.
