Do you believe you would score higher or lower than the poster above you on an IQ-test?

Have you tested for mensa?


Edit: no requirement to post honestly or at all note whether you'd rate higher on the IQ-test. The poll is private..

Well...

IQ is highly difficult to get a decent idea of, and i think mostly due to 2 reasons:

1) Not all types of intelligence are mutually identified by one examining another for intelligence

2) Intelligence can manifestate differently (and seemingly very poorly) in a person with psych issues of the depressive type.

For example, Kafka argued in his notebooks (i think he mostly believed it) that he was less intelligent than the average human. He also claimed that the father of the Karamazov family (Dostoevsky novel) was quite intelligent. Both are false in my view. Very.

I took an IQ test last year and I got 90!!! That's better than any exam mark I've ever had Some guy thought he got an IQ of 113 lol, he's so dumb, you can't get over 100% on a test!!!

i did very well on a psych scan recently (only one error, i was in the highest margin)

I once take an IQ test and answered all randomly.
I got around 90.

My IQ test score would allow Texas to execute me at least twice. And I was higher than a kite when I took the test.

IQ is mainly only focus on certain type of intelligence while ignore other more important however hard to measure intelligence, like social intelligence, emotional intelligence etc.

So don't take it as a measurement, and it always changes by time.

Mine was quite high but I really don't feel myself smart at all. Doing simple task to be further generalize for the bigger and more complicated task? It really seems dubious.

It is kind of boring when the society only measure everything on cognitive skill, how about measure also in emotional skill? the ability to have sympathy to other which one is higher? the ability to share? the ability sacrifice? I think that is more valuable for humanity than say the ability to count, to solve some spacial problem, or some language puzzle, etc etc.

I took an IQ test about four years ago and got 112. My worst category was memory.

For my last two IQ tests I scored 142 (four years ago) and 140 (a year ago). Might take one in about two years to see whether it has become 138 by then.

It is kind of boring when the society only measure everything on cognitive skill, how about measure also in emotional skill? the ability to have sympathy to other which one is higher? the ability to share? the ability sacrifice? I think that is more valuable for humanity than say the ability to count, to solve some spacial problem, or some language puzzle, etc etc.
