Babies and Anacondas

So I once delivered a pizza to a guy whose 8-yr-old daughter had a 5-ft-long anaconda around her neck. She took it in her arms and cuddled it (one of the oddest sights of my life), then handed it to me to cuddle. I held it for a minute, said it was nice, and gave it back (oddly I wasn't even remotely afraid).

So what are your thoughts on abortion and letting 8-yr-old girls hang deadly snakes around their fragile necks?

Yeah, they're the contract until they snap your ribs and choke you to death by chest pressure killers.

They're that big. Just not that fast. You would have to be parylyzed to be killed by a anaconda.

I think it was a baby anaconda, but I'm no expert. That's just what she/dad said.

Anacondas are so misunderstood.

They do not realize that they're killing us. Anacondas just love us way too much and want to hug us all night long... but then once we're dead, they might as well eat us, right? So.. don't blame the anacondas! Blame love.

And I maintain the whole world would be better off if you made your foot 100 cm long, or could remember the number 0.3048.


As for snakes, why the hell not. I don't think they'd be about to kill a human provided they were well fed.

No, they wouldn't do it intentionally, but when large constrictors end up around people's necks, accidents happen.

I work with snakes every day, including a couple Burmese pythons. Normally they're fairly placid, but one day my boss was talking to a group of kids when Mona, a female Burmese about 8 feet (2.5 meters) at the time, got her tail around his neck. Jim is a fairly big man, but he couldn't get her off without help. If he'd been alone, and he hadn't had his knife in his pocket as a last resort, he would have been in trouble. Pythons are strong.

So, my feelings are that snakes can make great pets, but pythons are not necklaces, and children should be taught not to handle them like that.

andacondas are prity good snakes, i have on that gets even long, a reticulated python. shes still right now about 4 ft, but fully grown can reach up to 30 ft
