Batman: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Official Trailer

You and me, we're going to have to have a talk ;)

I didn't say the Dark Knight was a bad movie. The biggest reason (aside from the Joker being overpowered) I didn't like it was just because the way they portrayed Gotham made me felt uncomfortable, I was getting nauseous in my seat whenever the camera panned to show the sky scrapers. But that's apparently only a problem I had, so I'm not judging the movie for it.

(aside from the Joker being overpowered)

I agree with that too. In particular, I have no idea how he managed to rig an entire hospital with explosives without alerting anyone. The explanation I've heard is that he had the mafia working for him after all, but that doesn't seem to explain anything.

Also, how did they know where to put those cables to catch the copters?

this was the only thing about the movie that really bothered me. it would have been way more believable it the joker had set up "AA teams" armed with rpgs on various rooftops instead of a cable launcher

And Catwoman has been revealed.

I'm not a big comic person. My image of the Joker was based on Mark Hamil's version from the Animated Series, where he was highly competent and dangerous, but not to the point of being able to plan thirty steps ahead.

This always bothered me too. The Joker is supposed to be the perfect foil to Batman, when he's infinitely smarter than Batman this doesn't happen, it makes for an unbelievable character that you (as the viewer) are truly just tired of, instead of a challenging villain you love to hate (like Darth Vader or Simon Phoenix).

Why's she on the Batpod?

Shes a thief of course.

I imagine towards the end of the film, shes inspired by Batman to take an animal persona.

Yeah, calling her "Catwoman" might be a mistake because she has only ever been referred to as "Selena Kyle" thus far. I imagine they will do something to make her take the Catwoman persona at some point in the movie (much like they did with Harvey Dent and Two-Face), but no information on this has been revealed yet. As to why she is on the batpod, no info on this has been released either so all we can do is speculate.

I've never been that fond of production stills from superhero films. It makes it far too obvious that it's just a bunch of guys in rubber suits.

I think some of the film was again shot at the University of London Senate House and Library. There was heck of a lot of stuff there for a few days. The amount of equipment and personnel needed for a big-budget production is insane.

It seems with the new movie people are getting a crash course at how movie shots look when they are filmed.
