We'll see, I'm still working out my RL schedule, so I can't state that any particular day will definitely be the deadline each week. Remember, also working around Capto Iugulum.
And so Washington came to be the ruler of Creation. And he turned to his Founding Fathers and said unto them,
"Look upon our realm, my brothers. Is it not good?"
And Hamilton spoke, and said it was. And then Jefferson spoke, and said it was.
But then Franklin spoke, and said,
"Nay."
"Why is our realm not good?" cried Washington.
"Because just as we overthrew Anglan to rule over Congress, so too will other Fathers overthrow us to rule over Congress." said Franklin.
And Washington looked over at Congress and saw his realm was indeed not good.
"So what must we do?" said Washington.
"We must create a new realm for all of the Founding Fathers to rule over, and populate it with beings in our image. And they will be ruled by all of us, and all the Founding Fathers shall know power in their own way." said Franklin.
And Washington thought of this and found that it was wise.
And so Washington and the Founding Fathers came together to make the Earth. And on the first day they separated the realm of Congress from the realm of the Earth. And on the second day, did the Founding Fathers raise up the Land from the Seas and the Rivers, to create land for people to dwell upon. And on the third day did the Founding Fathers create the Sun to shine in the daylight sky, and the moon and stars to shine in the night sky. And on the fourth day did the Founding Fathers command the earth to grow grasses and plants, and they did command the plants to go forth and be fruitful. And on the fifth day did the Founding Fathers create the beasts and the birds and the fishes, and they did command the beasts to go forth and be fruitful.
And on the sixth day did the Founding Fathers make Man, to serve and to be protected by the Founding Fathers, and to live on the Earth. But Man was a husk, and devoid of thought. And so the Founding Fathers blessed man with their talents, so that he would have thought and deed.
And Washington stepped forth, and granted to Man the strength of will to make and to do. And then Franklin stepped forth, and granted to Man the wisdom to think and to imagine. And then Hamilton stepped forth, and granted to Man the cunning and ambition to plan and to prepare and to desire. And then Jefferson stepped forth, and granted to Man the speech to speak and to exhort and to write.
And the Founding Fathers stood before Man, and said to him,
"We grant unto you this Earth, to till and to make your own, to grow and to build. And in return you will grant us your servitude, and pledge to serve the Founding Fathers in your own way, and we will grant you liberty and take no tithes or steal your tea. And go forth and plant and grow your tea as you will, and only give to us your love and your loyalty, for we have made you in our image."
And Man said, "Yes."
And so Washington looked out over creation and asked if it was good, and Franklin said,
"Yes, I find it good."
The society of the Revere School District is divided by age into seven categories. These categories serve to not only divide responsibilities of each individual, but also the type of jobs, training, and rewards each individual earns. Babies under the age of five are placed with the Parents in their category.
Child: Ages 6-10
The very youngest children are mostly focused on general education as well as learning how to maintain health and survival in their day to day lives.
Youth: Ages 11-14
They receive more indepth education. In addition, this is when they are first eligible to be given official jobs, such as care taking, message running, or general maintenance.
Adolescent: Ages 15-18
Specialization begins, and training goes into detail on specific aspects of every day life. If they learned how to work an pump earlier, now they learn how to know the ins and outs of just a specific kind of specialized water-purifier pump. They also begin to get apprenticeships and intern work. Volunteers may be allowed to join a military expedition. Considered to be part of the "population" but not adults yet.
Bachelor/Parent: Ages 19-25
When one becomes a "Bachelor" they become an adult. Their work load increases and their education time decreases, although still prevalent. They take great responsibilities and are considered adults. Those that marry fall into the Parent Status until 25, although giving birth brings them temporarily under Parent status until their Child reaches 5 or they find an eligible caretaker.
Elder: Ages 25-35
An Elder is expected to become a teacher at least part time. They have years of experience behind their belts. Elder Militia are usually considered for leadership positions and Elder craftsmen often take their own Adolescent apprentices or Bachelor aides.
Senior: Ages 35+
The wasteland is hard on Revere society. Those who make it to 35 are considered seniors and dedicate their time to giving wisdom to the younger generation and offering their unique perspective on various issues. The Senior Council is a special unofficial governing body.
In addition, the Revere School District is divided into five "Departments" which mostly concern the type of jobs each department oversees.
Education trains teachers and organizes curriculum for students, brining together teachers and students. Also handles SACT testing.
Agriculture maintains farms first and foremost, as well as having a say in farming equipment and water usage. Also handles food distribution.
Survival handles water and shelter, as well as monitering radiation and preparing kits for those going on expedition. Also handles emergency training.
Defense handles the training of the people of Revere in self defense, as well as the distribution of weapons. Also handles the militia.
Oversight makes sure that each department is working in harmony with each other and that criminals are punished accordingly. The Superintendent traditionally has most influence in this department.
When departments intersect, such as sending expeditions (Survival and Defense) or teaching classes on how to treat blighted plants (Education and Agriculture) committees are formed with members from the departments and an overseer from Oversight.
Most Revere adult citizens are usually a member of two of these departments.
By dividing into Class and Departments, the Revere Society is highly organized and meritocratic. The Superintendent is the leader of their society, while twelve principals head each subdivision. Designed so that every element of society works seamlessly together even while specializing, and every individual knows their place and responsibilities in times of crisis or disaster, this system is under ever greater stress as the years rolled on.
@EQ: Sorry for saying this so early in the game, but I don't feel inspired to continue playing this NES. Please, either give my people a chance to survive or send them towards the nearest PC.
"And don't you find it strange that all 18 people we took in this year had no information of any kind?" Commander Mila Quinn asked looking out across the ruins of Lynchburg. "No rumors of other population centers, raiders or water supplies. No contact with anyone."
"Yes Commander." Sargent Jones turned in his power armor toward her. "Very strange."
"Anyway I have decided to clear Lynchburg and see the James River on the other side of the city." She planted the butt of her SPE-AR-1 into the dusty ground. "Once this is completed its Roanoke."
"Roanoke?" Jones replied sounding suprised. He turned to look east beyond Lynchburg. "Why not Richmond?"
"No. It will be Roanoke." Mila Quinn turned to look west away from Lynchburg and the way to Richmond. "Richmond is most likely a hole. Roanoke is located at the southern end of the George Washington State Forest. Its location is also north of what could be a major supply of water."
"But Lynchburg is first." Commander Quinn said grinning. She turned around and set off toward her men and Lynchburg. "Lets move Atomic Foxes!"
CQ01
SPE-AR-1(Special Purpose Equipment, Armor Render number 1) Low level melee weapon a metal polearm type spear designed for combat against Chinese Power Armor Suits. Just a military metal spear. Just as basic as a combat knife or entrenching tool. It was assigned to a few RCT Power Armor Suit units.
The Atomic Foxes have begun doing their best to increase the sustainability of their bunker fortress this year. This began with the construction of a new pumping and purification plant not far from the bunker, pumping in refined water. While not quite enough to sustain the whole population, it still manages to come fairly close. The next addition to the main bunker was a new ammo converter allowing for the creation of ammunition for their multitude of advanced weaponry. A small force also continued the salvaging of Lynchburg, and have stated that clearly plenty of salvage remains to be claimed, at least another year's worth. They had no troubles with this operation, even finding a limited amount of intact tech parts. A very small expedition headed up the James River, and scouted the national forest, which is believed to be fairly decent for small settlements and limited farming.
A small scouting party went east, to investigate the various small towns in the region. Not far out of the gate, the scouts ran into a major migration of hundreds of ghouls, which immediately began tearing apart those not wearing power armor. The scouts in power armor barely survived the onslaught, their armor keeping them safe from the claws and attacks, but leaving them exhausted after the battle, as they were ultimately overwhelmed and forced to play dead until the ghouls left. The first stop was Concord, which was found to be worthless for farming and barren of any inhabitants. Their reports indicated that while some possible salvage existed, for the most part, there wasn't much there. The second stop was Appomattox, after fending off further ghoul attacks on the way. It was also found to be worthless for any large scale farming, but was seen to be the home of a moderately prosperous community. They were welcomed, gathered what information they could, and went on their way. The last stop was the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest, which was found to be moderately useful for farming, but not to any large extent. The return home was largely uneventful.
Mila Quinn herself led the largest expedition, pushing west to the city of Bedford. There they found the terrain to be useless for farming, and the community was completely empty of any life, human or significant wildlife. Scouts indicated that plenty of salvage could exist in the town, which has not been touched since the war. The town of Moneta was the next scouted and found to actually be well suited to moderate farming efforts. It was full of giant ants, which had established a hive there. The expedition engaged, and using their heavy weaponry ultimately destroyed the hive's queen and cleared the town of hostiles with minimal losses. The town itself seems to have very little to offer for salvage, but still could offer at least something. The nearby Smith Mountain Lake was unfortunately determined to be too heavily irradiated, even for purification. The small town of Montvale was the next scouted, and determined to be useless for farming. There was no local population and nothing worth even scrapping to be found amid the ruins, clearly picked over well by past scavengers. They had more luck at the town of Blue Spring, which proved to be very arable for farming, if not outright fertile. A modest amount of scrap was seen which could be looted as well. A small amount of wild animals were present in the area, but were easily cleared with limited difficulty and no casualties. The main objective of this ultimately was the much larger city of Roanoke. Initial tests showed the area to be worthless for any farming in the environs of the city. The city itself is home to a large number of irradiated ghouls, which far outnumbered the team sent to investigate. They were barely able to escape the city limits with their lives, after a vicious running battle and the loss of a goodly number of their expedition, returning home at last.

The Beat
Spoiler:
The biggest operation undertaken by the Beat was to continue the salvage of Toronto. Large well-armed teams have entered into the city from the Nightclub and continued to scavenge for everything they could. They found themselves engaged in a major battle with the mass of the city's ghoul population, and had significant success. Though casualties were high, it seems that the numbers of ghouls in Toronto have been substantially reduced overall. The scavengers brought back a substantial amount of scrap this year, but nothing else. Back at the nightclub compound, the local surveys agreed that no further farming could be done in the area. They have taken the resources to build a canoe for scouting on Lake Ontario, though the journeys undertaken so far have not come close enough to the shore to actually scout anything. They have also built a new radio tower so that the beat can be heard across the land.

Black Hills Refuge
Spoiler:
The Black Hills Refuge only undertook one major operation this year, looking to scavenge and loot Rapid City and the nearby Ellsworth Air Force Base for supplies. The expedition entered the city despite the large number of ghouls reported by previous scouting parties. The fighting was vicious and difficult, as the scouts were badly outnumbered. The numbers of ghouls were dramatically reduced as the fighting raged onward, and the Refuge's warriors pushed to the military base. They found plenty of scrap, bringing home the materials recovered throughout both the city and base. They reported there is still plenty more to be recovered for future expeditions. They found a small amount of tech on the military base, but the most important find was a stockpile of plasma weapons with piles of ammunition in a few containers on the base. They have added it to their arsenal, greatly increasing their firepower should a battle ever take place.

Crimson Dawn Tribe
Spoiler:
The main event for celebration within the Crimson Dawn Tribe was the construction of a new ammunition converter, allowing the creation of new munitions for their firearms. Not much else happened with the Crimson Dawn Tribe this year, as the tribe's war parties scouted the surrounding area and patrolled it, looking for travelers and wanderers. These poor individuals are seized by the tribe and forced to fight in arena matches for the Tribe's entertainment. The winners are allowed to become members, while the few surviving others are forced into slavery. This has caused a gradual growing of the slave ranks of the tribe, and the faction continues to prosper from it.

The Disney Empire
Spoiler:
Even as their food and water supplies grow dangerously short, the Disney Empire has done nothing.
The Klan
Spoiler:
With no real destinations in mind for exploration, the Klan was mostly focused on salvaging Friendly itself, having no idea what to do. They focused on salvaging the surrounding town which appeared to still have plenty left to scrounge for the good of the faction. Unfortunately, they overall were able to salvage very little scrap parts, bringing what they could back to the compound. They collected a fair number of slaves from among the wanderers in the area, but had a mostly uneventful year.
Stat Changes
+30 Slaves, +150 Scrap Parts from Friendly scavenging.
Menotomy Minutemen
Spoiler:
The Menotomy Minutemen were dismayed to find this year that the nearby Hanscom Air Force Base was too irradiated to be entered without power armor. To make things more tantalizing, the base appears to be bereft of even the most minimal automated defenses. Other expeditions sent out had equally bad news in all respects, overall failing their missions. The Charles River was determined to have no safe or suitable crossings at any points south. An expedition sent to Lynn disappeared entirely, with no survivors or any trace of the fate of their expedition. Lastly, new farming equipment was built and deployed with little to no major improvement in local production.
Overseer's Challenge: We are running out of food and if the birth and immigration rates keep up, we are likely to see the first deaths by starvation next year and the unrest that comes with it. How do we respond? Stat Changes

Nor-Ad
Spoiler:
The warriors of Nor-Ad found their first real threat this year as emissaries were sent to negotiate with the Fiends in Salisbury. Hoping to convert the cannibals to their faith and bring them into the larger community, a small force of soldiers from Nor-Ad were sent, where they were invited into the Fiends' compound. The gates were promptly shut and the Fiends viciously attacked the soldiers, and inflicted a heavy toll, slaughtering a number of unlucky souls without powered armor. Regardless, the overwhelming firepower of Nor-Ad's soldiers and the use of power armor allowed them to fight their way out, though under the weight of the attack, none of those without power armor were able to survive, and their weapons were abandoned. What was left of the team returned to Mount Davis to report the failure of the mission and the hostility of the local natives.
Beyond the failure of negotiations with the Fiends, the other big events for the soldiers of Nor-Ad was the continuing exploration and excavation of the lands around Mount Davis. The first such expedition was sent to Meyersdale, which was plagued with vicious combat, being attacked by disorganized bands of raiders and vicious mutated monsters through the whole adventure. Quite a few were lost just in the travelling, though the use of power armor was enough to prevent the whole expedition from being destroyed. The town itself was swarming with radroaches, which were destroyed easily enough, and the team quickly salvaged what it could and returned home. The area was deemed not even slightly suitable for farming. They were fortunate to find, amid a bunch of wreckage, a still functioning howitzer of old make, apparently used locally at some point immediately after the great war, thanks to power armor, they were able to haul it back, though it is immensely heavy and typically immobile. They stated there isn't that much else left in the town to salvage, but there could be enough for a second expedition.
A second expedition was sent to Rockwood, having a fairly quiet journey, and they found the area to be worthless for farming. The town itself was empty of any human or major animal habitation. They found a decent amount of salvageable scrap, and upon return reported that there was still plenty to be found and returned by further expeditions. The third and final expedition was sent to the town of Garrett, and never returned. No evidence of their fate existed, and it is believed they fell prey to one of the numerous hazards of the wastes.

The Order of the Staff
Spoiler:
The greatest matter of importance to the Order of the Staff this year was the launching of a palnned long-range new expedition, hoping to recover plenty of scrap and supplies for return. The expedition was slated to be a gradual process, with trips being sent back to bring recovered goods home, due to the amount of goods they acquired. The first journey was to Strasburg, on the way, they ambled into a large amount of raiders, who fought back and led to numerous deaths and casualties in the fighting, and much of the expedition was wounded or killed, though the raiders were destroyed. Strasburg area itself was found to be surprisingly arable for farming, while the town was empty of any hostile forces. This was likely due to the lack of any salvageable resources in the town, and what little could be recovered was sent home. The trip to the next stop in Middleton was less difficult and the town was found to be worthless for farming, and found to be home to a vicious pack of cannibals, who have dominated the region, calling themselves the Reavers. The expedition gave the town a wide berth, traveling on to their next destination, fortunately not attracting the Reavers' interest. Not far to the north, the expedition reached Stephen's City, was also found to be worthless for farming. Here they found the town occupied by a friendly community of local inhabitants in a fortified warehouse complex. Having avoided the eyes of the Reavers, this community has maintained itself for a while, and offered succor and rest to the travelers. The expedition continued on to the much larger city of Winchester, which they found to be worthless for farming and full of ghouls. The ghouls very nearly overran the expedition, killing quite a few and causing the rest to determine to stop the expedition here, with the majority of the group dead. A small amount of scrap was recovered from the ruins, but nothing else of value was found, though the scouts believe that further expeditions could still find plenty of goods within Winchester.
Once home, the Order of the Staff took account of their materials and began work on an ambitious new project. A new radio tower was built projecting out of the caves and into the skies, hidden among the tallest trees. They have begun broadcasting the word of their order across the wastelands, and it is being picked up by a variety of other factions.
Overseer's Challenge: The people of the town of Steven's City are looking for safety and wish to travel to join us. However, the Reavers stand between them and our order, and they want armed assistance to travel to us. How do we respond?

Pellicle Research
Spoiler:
The workers with Pellicle Research undertook a major revolution of their production facilities this year to varying degrees of success. New farming equipment was built, but as previous studies have shown, the entire Detroit area is worthless for farming, and thus the equipment is equally worthless. More successful was the creation of new industry and development within the faction's main compound: a forge was built for recycling old guns and tech parts into scrap, while a forge was built to craft ancient weapons from scrap metal. Lastly, a new water purifier was built, creating a small but reliable source of water, as sewage and other loose waters are turned into somewhat drinkable delights.
Most of the work undertaken by Pellicle Research continued throughout the ruins of eastern Detroit. The area, still tested and deemed to be worthless for any agriculture, still has a plethora of other resources to offer, mostly from the remaining scrap. The various expeditions undertaken by the Research company were fairly low key, and the area remains uninhabited except for stray ghouls which relentlessly attack scavengers. Overall, the Mr. Handys continued their work throughout the year, seamlessly converting raw rubble into usable scrap material. Not much else was found besides scrap unfortunately, though quite a lot of that was returned to the compound. The only real expedition was to Belle Isle, where they found the island highly radioactive and worthless for any habitation. One unique find was an intact holotape containing instructions and designs for the construction of a Mechanized Walker.
Created as heavy support for power armor and a replacement for tanks, which grew obsolete with advancements in infantry weapons, Mechanized Walkers tower over the battlefield and wield everything from plasma lasers to low yield tactical nuclear weapons. Possessing these designs could be infinitely valuable, if Pellicle Research can find the materials to build these awesome weapons.

Revere School District
Spoiler:
The most significant operation undertaken by the Revere School District was a bold yet still wisely cautious attempt to clear Montrose-Ghent of the major ghoul infestation there. With a small team, working slowly throughout the year, they were able to successfully reenter the local towns, eliminating ghouls quickly and quietly, without inviting a major battle. They even managed to require a good portion of the weapons lost last year, though they discovered that most of the more advanced weaponry was either gone or too damaged to recover. Though the effort was successful, it was still high risk, and a goodly number of those sent did not make it back.
Beyond the above offensive effort, the RSD sent out three other smaller scouting parties to investigate and test a number of possible areas for settlement or scavenging. The eastern expedition first visited Cuyahoga Falls, where they found the territory to be only barely suitable in some places for farming. They sent word back of a settlement in the golf course, and let the RSD know that they appeared to be hostile cannibals and raiders, which they have termed the Terrors. Unfortunately, after relaying the message back, the scouts vanished, likely into the bellies of those they spotted. A western expedition scouted local national parks, hoping to find further good land for settlement and farming. They were very pleased to find that both Allardale and Hinckley Parks were very well suited and untainted, allowing for great farming. The water at both locations has been tested and viewed to be completely usable with purification. Unfortunately, nothing of any value for salvage was found at either location. The last expedition was sent to the north, to Richfield, where they have found a small amount of scrap and even a few tech parts. However, this town was now also clearly tapped out of anything of value. Unfortunately, attempts to scout further has left none of the expedition alive, except the reserve which scavenged Richfield. No one knows where they disappeared to, only that they must have succumbed to the wastes.
Back in Bath, the people of the RSD have focused on developing their own potential with the construction of a new forge for the production of more primitive weapons. Also, the forge has been turned towards the production of new farming equipment. However, even with the new equipment, the farms seem to be at full potential and the increase in production has been negligible at best.

The soldiers of the United Robotic Systems have continued to focus upon the salvage and control of the ruins of the city of Buffalo. Due to the size and depth of the ruins, they have also attempted a laughably foolhardy attempt to put up signs and border markers around the city, which are usually gone within hours of placing them. Scavenging within the city proved to be a much more productive use of time and energy, finding and recovering a large amount of scrap for the bunker. Unfortunately, nothing more valuable than scrap was located.
The bunker of the URS sent out six major scouting expeditions into the wastes, and two of them simply wandered around, scouting the vast labyrinth that is the ruins of Buffalo. One went west, to the Canadian town of Welland, which was found to be most worthless for farming, and the local water was discovered to be highly irradiated. However, they did locate a small peaceful settlement in the area, made up of Canadian survivors of the Great War. They were clearly not thrilled to see American equipped soldiers, but have avoided combat so far. Another expedition went back north to Niagara Falls to salvage what they could using power armor. They actually managed to bring back a decent amount of scrap which wasn't too radioactive for use , as well as salvageable tech parts. The third expedition went northeast to the town of Lockhart, which they found to be mostly worthless for farming. The town itself was full of giant ants, including a hive, which immediately resisted the expedition's presence. Those in power armor resisted the ants, but those without were literally torn apart. The remaining survivors salvaged what weapons they could, and returned home. The last party went south, to the town of Hamburg, which they found to be worthless for farming. The town itself was empty of any inhabitants, human or otherwise. The party spent some time salvaging the ruins and brought back with them a fair amount of both scrap and tech parts.
Meanwhile, within the border of the URS's so-called claimed area, raiders have easily infiltrated past the strained patrols and launched attacks upon the bunker itself. They managed to easily slip through the alleged borders, as too few exist to actually monitor each possible entry into the area. Guided by the tantalizing salvage potential of a US Army facility, the raiders struck at the bunker in massive numbers. With most of the bunker's population either out scouting or salvaging, the raiders easily slaughtered the few door guards and entered the base, looting it for everything they could carry and killing everyone within, which consisted mostly of children too small to go out on the expeditions. They managed to escape with a large amount of the bunker's ammunition, gathering up everything they could carry before anyone returned to find the massacre within. The raiders once more easily evaded any patrols, though they did have to kill a few other scouts throughout the area.
Lastly, some radios in the Buffalo area have begun picking up a radio station with bizarre music, calling itself the voice of The Beat.

Vault 7
The residents of Vault 7 ended their involvement in the greater wasteland this year as survey teams continued to explore the ruins of Toledo. What they found has horrified them time and time again, with the horrible mutations that the wildlife has gone under, the barbarity of raiders, and even the poor desolate wreckage of the old world. Returning to their vault, the vault dwellers gathered and voted, and declared that rather than face and rebuild the old world, they would remain within. They have state that at least this way, future generations will survive with an untarnished memory of the world around them, and that their children's children will remain safe behind the vault walls. In Vault 7, no one ever enters, no one ever leaves.
Vault 83
Spoiler:
Vault 83 prepared itself for a war this year, as they built a forge to churn out dedicated weapons for an assault upon the compound of the feared Kinfolk. A substantial amount of the vault's population marched out and attacked, most poorly armed and equipped when compared to the raiders who laid waste with their own weaponry. The fighting was vicious and brutal, but sheer weight of numbers led to the crushing of the raiders' defenses and the razing of the compound and its stockpiles. The local slaves were freed, and the supplies were retrieved back to the vault. The army also scavenged the region for supplies of various sorts, and have completely stripped Hot Springs of any remaining value. They continued on to Warm Springs which was found to be worthless for farming. It was also home to several very nasty, very strong bears, which took a bloody toll to scavenge the town. They managed to strip the town of anything of scrap value, bringing it home to the vault and leaving it tapped out for any further expeditions.

Vault 94
Spoiler:
The vault dwellers of Vault 94 have played it cautiously this year, focusing on scavenging and scouting, rather than any truly ambitious operations. The first of the two main salvage operations continued in Shippensburg. They managed to acquire a fair bit of tech parts, but a meager amount of scrap. The scavengers sent to Mechanicsburg had more difficulty, and were attacked by raiders, allowing their slaves to turn on both sides and escape, while inflicting heavy casualties. Still, they survived, and continued with their mission, acquiring more weapons from the fallen raiders. They found a decent amount of scrap for their group's smaller size, but unfortunately nothing more useful.
A smaller expedition, with slaves carrying handmade canoes and rafts, went southeast to scout and specifically salvage the old nuclear facilities at Three Mile Island. The expedition first passed the town of Winding Hill and scouts reported it contained a hostile settlement of cannibalistic raiders calling themselves the Serpents. They next passed by Yocumtown, which was found to be the center of a thriving giant ant hive, and the expedition wisely avoided it. They stopped for a brief time in the small village of Etters. The area was believed to be worthless for any farming. It was also fortunately empty of any habitation. Scouting to Three Mile Island reported that the island was too heavily irradiated, even for protective, and several died within hours of simply being downwind of the old plant. The group salvaged what they could from Etters, not wanting to go home empty, leaving the town bereft of any resources for further expeditions to find, even considering how little they got themselves.
The largest expedition undertaken by Vault 94 was to the south, hoping to find the fabled Raven Rock military installation. This was met with failure after weeks of combing the wilderness, with no sign of the installation on any local maps or indicators of its location. The expedition met with similar failure after also journeying to Camp David, where they found absolutely nothing of value and no buildings remaining, preventing any establishment of an outpost there. Humiliated and embarrassed, with nothing to show for their arduous journey, the expedition returned home empty-handed.

Vimary
Spoiler:
Faced with a horrible choice, the people of Vimary have found their home consistently besieged by ghouls and with an uninhabitable and highly radioactive city above them. Matters were made worse, when a portion of the town's water supply was contaminated by the radiation due to the access created by the year's expeditions. Three expeditions were planned, but two were cancelled due to the amount of wreckage in the tunnels and the high radiation above. The main expedition went through the subway tunnels themselves, scavenging everything they could find along the way. At Longueuil Station they emerged to find the radiation levels still high, but more passable than anywhere else the community has found. Quite a few returned with radiation sickness and died, but they brought with them a small amount of scrap, reporting that there could be an escape from their doomed town.
Stat Changes
-100 Water per turn, -40 Population from radiation seepage.
-20 Population from Longueuil Expedition losses.
+200 Scrap Parts from Longueuil Expedition.
Wall Street Republic
The East Coast, by its breadth of urbanization, was guaranteed to preserve the lives of a few lucky survivors, sprinkled across its vast ruins. New York invariably had its own of this creed, who struggled to survive in the immediate years after the apocalypse. The diversity of survivors - from stock brokers to construction workers to government scientists to police officers - created an urgent need for cooperation, bringing them together to form the first families of the new age. They constructed canoes to expediently support scavenging operations between the different districts of the former city, while others’ military and scientific knowledge was used to create the new New York central settlement, Wall Street, as a secure fort against the more aggressive survivors and migrants of further quarters of the ruins.
The families of this group of survivors first settled Central Park, where they could scrape together dead wood into canoes for their explorations. However, Central Park, being flat compared to the surrounding concrete decay, also made it the easiest to sneak up to and raid, forcing the families south, to the financial district. The location served even better, being directly beside the coast, allowing for less dangerous exploratory travel.
The Wall Street survivors obtained the title of Republic through the first sessions of discourse which founded their method of governing. By now well into the first post-war generation, the children of politically active survivors, whether sons and daughters of former venture capitalists or public speakers, had divided the settlement on the issue of leadership. Informal public meetings which had been so vital to the organizing of tasks in the community in the beginning, had increasingly become bitter contests for popularity, eventually resulting in the last informal public meeting with the dual of Adam Cordell and William Everest, the leaders of the two camps. The brawl eliminated many of Everest’s rivals, and secured Adam Cordell as the victor. He declared, with his allies, a code of rules formalizing the system of public meetings in the Republic, creating the Senate and the office of President, both voted on by everyone in the community. Adam Cordell was elected to be the first President of Wall Street, quickly pardoning those who fought beside Everest to guarantee his leadership.
Washington Island
Spoiler:
The people of Washington Island travelled this year to the independent town of Cherryland, where they were cautiously greeted by the local people. The locals and the people of Washington Island have agreed to an alliance against the Eggmen, and plans have begun to eliminate this threat to both communities. Talks have been launched about taking the offensive next year and destroying the raider settlement. Meanwhile, the people of Washington Island have begun further scavenging in Green Bay. They brought back a scant amount of scrap parts from the area scavenged, but did manage to find some more tech parts to add to the stockpile at home. They have continued to report that the southern part of the city remains full of ghouls, but have not had any major engagements. They have also stated that while the coastal areas seem tapped out, there's still plenty to be salvaged in the rest of the city.
Stat Changes
+100 Scrap Parts, +4 Tech Parts from Green Bay Expedition.
The Wolverines
Spoiler:
Tragedy struck the Wolverines this year when an expedition sent to Saginaw failed to return. Equipped with the best weapons available, they still failed to report, and follow up scouting reported the site of a major battle, but no weapons or survivors were found. The second expedition went to Freeland, between the earlier location of Saginaw and the main compound of the Wolverines. This expedition managed to travel unmolested and were the ones to find the fate of the past expedition and the wreckage of their journey. In Freeland they found a massive compound of well-armed raiders, and the remnants of their last expedition. The Freeland settlement appears to be well armed and is the final resting place of those who survived the slaughter of the first expedition, as they are forced into their fate as slaves. The expedition, rather than risking a conflict with a superior force, has instead retreated and reported these findings to the main base. A third expedition went west instead, venturing to the ruins of Mt Pleasant. The area was found to be worthless for farming. The trip was fairly easy, with no hostile encounters, but the city itself was swarming with flying armored wasp creatures, called cazadors. These awful creatures slaughtered the scouting party, save one who escaped and later died of poison inflicted by the animals.
The main Wolverine compound had adventures of its own, with the construction of new farming equipment and a new pumping and purification center on the Chippewa River. The new water plant is doing quite well and bringing in a large amount of drinkable water, but the new farming equipment's results have been diminished by overuse of agriculture in the compound. The compound also came under attack by a small, poorly armed group of raiders, which were easily repulsed. The raiders had a few low-tech melee weapons, and only managed to kill a few unlucky individuals on the walls.

Just want to thank all of you who chose to do their orders early. It made updating much easier. Just as a reminder: if you want to do early orders, you must state as much in your orders, and by doing so you forfeit your right to revisions.
@TerrisH: Yeah, I'm NOT doing the results of 40 bands of scouts. Running things 40 times would easily take me most of my day. Screw that .
Revere IS utterly surrounded by badness. Oh well. Very good update. I might do a write up of my area; for all its badness, it is very interesting.
You've told me that Ghent-Montrose+Crystal Lake area requires a new settlement to tap. Is that also true for the Allardale and Hinkley state parks? Also, the expedition in Turn 1 didn't mention the state of scrap in the Ghent-Montrose-Crystal Lake area. Can you give me the overview or was it withheld on purpose?
Also: you added 10 to water production, not food production. In hindsight, I should have built a recycler since I will soon be suffering from scrap-starvation.
EDIT: MOAR QUESTIONS.
Can Agricultural Tools be moved between settlements? Also, my structures aren't in my stats.
okay.. so Raiders appear out of nowhere and attack a heavily armed bunker with heavy traffic(with superhuman strength and carrying capacity) and my people are total idiots without a lick of common sense.
Scouting expidition.. acomplishied pretty much EXACTLY the oppisite of what I planed EQ. but can work with it.
well, got enough to set up the basics now. time to bring down the hammer of got on the raiders, and get the children back I guess. and yell out the idiots who left the bunker doors open and unlocked.
eDIT: not that I can really balme them, on second look. there was no evidince of Raiders previously, and the gouls were drivien off. ah well, I cna use this to make them more millitiant.
Also, hany estimate on how much water the pumping and purification system will produces hooked up the great lake?
