BirdNES 3: When Worlds Collide

Barring EU III I've never seen an actual map of the Shaibanids or other assorted Central Asian states. Best to go by geographic features. Ferghana is the Ferghana Valley and perhaps bits of the surrounding areas. Moughlistan is northeastish, found this map on wiki from 1450's:

Oh and the Kazak Khanate does exist north of the Uzbeks and had fought against the Shaibanids. Their border should be somewhere along the Syr Dayra river.

It will not delay the update, I will add these after.

Kraznaya, what nation will you be playing?

While we're whining about the NES, something that's probably already been whined about: why are Moldavia and Wallachia not in the stats, or even on the map?? Moldavia especially, as Stephen the Great is in power right now.

They are shown as grey areas and I fully expect them to be overrun by some player. I see no need to give them stats; they are not player led nations and I do not need more work. I am only one person and I'd rather spend my time on player nations than NPCs. :p

Since I assume I'm now playing as Austria, anybody who had any agreements with Austria should PM me.

Also Bird, it would be great if you could send me Fantasmo's old orders for Austria, assuming you still have them.

Ah, can I have cihnas old orders if were doing it like this?

Overrun? Why/how? They fiercely (and successfully) resisted everything in OTL. In fact, Stephen the Great just got done beating the hell out of first the Hungarians, then the Turks, and then the Poles.

Hey Bj, do I need to send orders? Also, how many of the other countires are muslim and how many are hindu?

At this point, I believe that I have all the orders I need. If I discover otherwise, I will let the player know. Other than the "mess" in Europe, the update is pretty much done. I have tweaked the stat system a bit and some numbers are calculated differently. Faction loyalty is now a 0 to 5 scale rather than -5 to +5.

New players will not get hammered (too badly ;)) by events they had no control over. I will try to send out the old order requests that I have (especially for Methos as Pope) but all of that takes away time from finishing the update.

Please do ask rules questions in the thread so everyone can benefit. It is easier for me to answer there rather than though pms.

Yes and yes.

No and I don't know. Someone will know and post it I'm sure.

OOC: Will there be any changes to the rules for the banks?

While player to player diplomacy can happen any time, even before the update, I will not respond for NPCs until after the update. So please do send me any NPC diplo until after. I will not take any public diplo into account for the forthcoming update. Plan accordingly.

Islamic states are the Delhi Sultanate, Malwa, Sindh, Gujarat, Bengal, Ahmednagar, Bijapur, Bidar, Berar, and Golkonda.

The Hindu states are the Rajputs, Orissa, and Vijaynagar

It is going well. The continuity with what was written in April 2009 is a bit choppy though. I fully expect to have it posted this weekend, but not today. If I don't finish on Sunday, i have Monday off from work. Having been away from the orders for so long, I have found some of the references made by players are no longer clear, so I have to go back and reread older orders. I'm sure that some things will just be "lost" and will have to be reestablished in coming turns. For Muscovy, I have to go back and repeat the course in Russian "history" that das so meticulously prepared. ;) My goal with this update is just to get it done, have it make sense, and then pick up the flow going forward.

The strategos: do you have a summary of "things" for me?

I think a lot of us are equally forgetful. This update will kickstart everything from there and move us joyously forward. I wouldn't get too worried about the details for this update.

Some of the faction stats appear a little wonky because of the change in calculations, they may take a turn or two to get straight. When the stats do go up, don't fret about them.

I will post stats today, that will give you all something to chew on until tomorrow. Hidden nation stats will be pmed. Rome's are still waiting for input from Methos, our new Pope.

And am creeping the posts to the top of the page where I will lock it for the update, so save your questions.
