Brave new World's New Civilizations - REVISED AGAIN!

Whta civs would you most like to see in BNW?

My choices didn't change that much:

- A Native American Civ;
- Ashanti,teaming with Zulu on "Scramble of Africa" scenario;
- Indonesia(actually,Majapahit);

About the last one,I bet it will be a dark horse as much unexpected as the huns were . My personal favorite dark horse here is Gran Colombia .

I still would rather Venice above all else, but I'll concede to Italy this time round.
I maintain: Indonesia, Morocco and Hungary for civs I'd like to see.

You're a good egg! ;)

I voted for Italy, Khmer, Timurids, Indonesia, Hittites, Israel. Would love to be sold on others, but that's not going to fly in the BNW forum. There's a thread for it here though.

Pity no Mughals or Cordoba.

I'd like to see:

- Another Native American Civilization
- Hungary
- Khmer

Think will be in: Indonesia, Morocco (or another north-african civ), Sioux.

Want: Argentina.

Those are my 4, i know Argentina is almost impossible... but.. a man can dream...

I want Holy Rome, but more as a DLC than one of the nine civs of this expansion... And acordding the news, we will not have no more civilizations before this...

That still leaves four civ slots open...so which civs would you most like to see in these last few slots?

Lol, whoops. I didn't read the thread properly before voting, so I didn't vote for four, I voted for over half of 'em. Sorry! :crazyeye:

It would be great if we have:
Italy (artwork component);
Native American (Only if we had the ancient pueblo people... It was the best choice);
Hungary (Strong European mid-game power);
Indonesia (Majapahit or something)

or even Morocco or Armenia (or Kongo :( )

Of course they will not have 4 european civs in the expansion.

Tamil would be a boss dark horse (Cholas!) I also really want Hittites, and definitely no more Europeans. I'd also like Indonesia, Nam, and I guess another African or Native American civ...

Indonesia
Vietnam
Morocco
Ashanti

they'll probably be a native american civ but i dont really care for them. checked Holy Rome too as it gets the top spot in my exceptionally unlikely civs

Gran Colombia, Italy, Khmer, Indonesia.

Gran Colombia may have lasted a short time, but had great influence over its region in South America. Also, South America tends to have a low number of civs, so it'll help make world map games more interesting.

Italy feels long overdue to me. You could have Rome and Italy co-exist like the Celts and England, or the Ottomans and Byzantium (who share the same capital, just under different names.) After all, as a unified nation, it's about as old as Germany (which always gets in Vanilla Civ 5.) The influence of the Italian states on the world in the past doesn't really get reflected with City-States.

Sure, many are tired of having lots of European civs, but Europe has been the world's most powerful continent for over half a millenium. A high population density results in a broad range of cultures despite its size.

Khmer would be nice to see back, simply to see Civ 5's take on the Baray. Hopefully it'll be somewhat more powerful in Civ 5 than it was in Civ 4 (Remember the Ballista elephant, with the "target mounted units in stacks outside cities" bonus? Ever actually used it?)

Indonesia is probably the most important on this list (though Italy comes close.) With Brave New World's focus on the latter part of the game, Indonesia's growing power of late becomes particularly relevant (and they have a long and complicated history to draw on as well.)

As a dark horse civ, I'd probably go for the Inuits. Maybe they get additional :c5food: from tundra and snow, meaning they can settle places others would struggle, and can send sea units under ice like Carthage can send units over mountains?

I'd like to see Nubia and the Yoruba (based off of the Oyo and Ife Yoruba kingdoms) but they really don't have much of a chance in BNW. :(

That said, I'd love it if the Ashanti or Benin made it in as full civs.

I´m mostly hoping for:
-Vietnam
-Indonesia
-Native American
-African Civ, probably Ashanti

Berbers replace Kongo for my African pick, and I'm not happy about it.

Indonesia, Vietnam, and N. American (Cherokee) constitute my other three picks. Here's hoping that we definitely do not get Hungary (sorry, but they add nothing in relation to the expansion or game overall, taking a spot from one of the above.)
