Very happy with Brazil, it sounds like a really flexible civ and I like that. :)

I like it too. I'm a sucker for cheap Great People.

http://www.millenium.org/civilizati...dro-ii-brazil-bonus-faction-nation-mtj-146900

Millenium gives the following details that the video doesn´t provide:

Amazone (Civ Special Ability): the bonuses to district for being adjacent to unimproved jungle tiles is apparently limited to: the campus, the holy site, the carnival district and the comercial hub. Having jungles being adjacent to the city center offers housing bonuses

Magnanimous (Leader Ability): it is a 20% recoup

Minas Gerares (UU): the reason for Brazil having a special battleship is that they were one of the first civs in the world to build battleships, thay had battleships before France for instance.

(Carnival District: nothing new)

For those who wonder how they get that info, I don´t know, but it is a serious website and they released the artile around the same time that the video came out, which leads me to think that they have some inside info somehow, maybe from 2K France...

They are still mentioning how many citizen that are working a tile making it possible that you can have more then one citizen working a tile.

Not to derail the topic but does this mean each GP is unique with a unique bonus!?

This is new to me. Interesting but a little controversial maybe, as the balance will always be off, and so you are implying this person is 'better' than that person... etc.

What is a merry-go-round doing next to a sambodrome? Don't they know the difference between Carnaval and a carnival? :crazyeye:

Great Scientist Emilie de Chatelet triggers eurekas for 3 random techs from renaissance or industrial era. I like how her bonus uses the new eureka system to do something very similar to rushing techs. The random part prevents players from simply rushing the "best" tech. I like this bonus a lot. I will definitely try to get her in one of my civ6 games.

This is beyond ridiculous. Brazil can barely be called a civilization and its inclusion in the base game makes a mockery of this game.

No way I'm paying any money for that.

Yes, each GP has unique bonuses in civ6. We knew that awhile back but now that we got a screenshot of the GP screen, we now have more details about it.

The 2 that are shown say the same thing about establishing a Religion and making the city a Holy City. The second one, Brazil can't recruit, so presumably they've already founded a Religion.

EDIT: Oops, when you wrote GP I interpreted it as Great Prophet rather than Great Person.

Especially with China;)

It appears to be a hold-over from the regular Entertainment Complex that the Carnevale District replaces.

Well I certainly didn't expect Brazil before the Inca in civ, I'm getting some fears that the Inca will be dlc.

As for the civ, I never liked Brazil in civ5, but this time around they seem more interesting, specially the GP bonuses and jungle placement, anything to make difficult terrains worth it makes a civ more interesting to play as.

The city graphics look really nice as well.

Also hopefully Great People will get portraits by release.
