From Brussel as reaction on the current situation:

Brussels has repeatedly warned it would not countenance an extension of the two-year negotiating period to simply allow a “managed no-deal”, which would likely be the preferred way forward by some candidates for May’s job.

Assuming that every new candidate will come with fantastic stories how he/she would do everything better, repeating almost the last 2 years on domestic escape behaviour, this sobering message.
