More personalities after a while! :D You can look at The Capo's thread, too. Or right below:

Hirohito I based off Mao and added aspects of Napoleon and Victoria. (Note: Though most historians so far as I know would agree that Hirohito's role in World War II was limited at worst, and none at best, I personally like to think that he doesn't deserve much blame for the horrors of the Pacific War since by then the Emperor was more or less a figurehead (like in Britain) with little bearing on the government. However, when making his personality, I tried to make it similar to Japan at the time - aggressive and so forth - since I don't think any of us would want to play with a peace-loving anti-war Hirohito.)

Kim Jong-Il I based on Stalin and added aspects of Mao and Tokugawa.

So here's Hirohito and Kim Jong-Il, as your list said:

Well, more personalities again, if you still need them. :)

More leaderhead personality fun.

First is Johan de Witt. I based him off Mansa Musa and added aspects of Louis XIV and Hatshepsut.

Next is Nedbucacahwecnezzar. I based him off Justinian and added aspects of Peter and Ramses.

Last is Henry the Navigator. I based him off Mansa Musa and added aspects of Elizabeth and Peter.

Enjoy.

Your best bet would be to compare the original Carter's Earth maps to the ones included here (using WinMerge). I assume you would need to make similar adjustments.

EDIT : here I described what you need to do to adjust the map to the number of civilizations supported by the dll (48).

In addition to that, you should compare the data for each civ on the map with the xml definition of that civ as some items have been changed, assuming the civs on the map are not random. The entries for 'FlagDecal', 'WhiteFlag' and 'ArtStyle' for some civs are changed in the mod. I doubt these changes are truly required (the flag related ones certainly are not), but unless you change them, this will be different from the regular mod (i.e. random map).

I'm having a few issues with the mod. The first is when I try to play with the "revolutions mod" turned on in custom game. I get this screen

Spoiler :

When i tried to load it without I got an error about memory allocation.

If it helps I didn't have my Civ IV CD in the disk drive at the time (I'm using the "complete" edition)

Concerning the error message, did you install the patch ? That should fix it.

As to memory allocation errors, that basically means you have too little RAM. There is nothing I can do about it on my end. What you can do is not install additional leaderheads and additional civilizations, thereby reducing the RAM requirements of the mod.

Whether you have the CD in the drive or not makes no difference (I never have it in the drive).

How do you install the patch? Should it start automatically or do you have to download it to the mod folder?

The patch is just a zip file, place it in the mods folder and unzip it.

If you have not installed all components, you might have some issues as it might fix stuff you do not even have installed, leaving files behind which cause warnings. If this happens, I can tell you how to fix that - the perils of optional components ;)

Will I need archiving software to unzip the file?

The unzip built into Windows should be sufficient, just make sure that you either copy its content directly into the Mods/Diversica dir or that you unzip it in the Mods dir (as the zip file contains the Diversica dir).

Whenever I try to run a game using a map script, it gives me a runtime error sometime during or immediately after the loading screen. The only time I got it stable was using Great_Plains, and then it blew up when I clicked the espionage button.

I installed the patch, and I did not have any previous installs of this mod.

Can someone help me out? I'm really looking forward to playing this.

That is odd, I never had a problem like this. Since the mod has an installer, you probably also could not install it in the wrong dir. Do you have any custom assets (that is about the only thing I can think of which might interfere) ?

I just did a clean reinstall. I can get a few turns into a game - only if the map size is around Standard. These arent memory allocation errors, it says runtime error, the runtime was asked to stop unexpectedly or something like that. My graphics settings shouldn't be a problem. I am running an Nvidia 8800GT with 512MB vram and 3gb of ram.

Installed the patch and got the same error as before, turned off the revolutions and got a memory allocation error again. I guess this is a problem with my computer?

Not sure what those errors are, never had any problems myself. Could it be driver problems (maybe some of the additional units do somethign regular civ does not) ? Just guessing here, but it is not just the mod which is at fault here, it is a combination of mod and PC.

MAFs won't be fixed by applying patches, they mean you are out of memory. Unless you install fewer leader heads and civs and possibly even play smaller map sized, they will not disappear.

Moving to a 64bit OS also makes them disappear (assuming you do have enough RAM, i.e. more than 2GB, in the first place).

First off, thanks for your efforts! I am (very) keen on the idea, however am having some trouble.

To start with, I ran into the same issue as Morgan UK, installing 1.70 with all optional components before applying 1.70b resolved this. I then continuously encountered SuperWaffle247's runtime issue on loading scenarios, on a system of similar spec to his (e8400/3GB/8800GT-512MB). Re-installing BTS or using different graphics drivers made no difference.

I have now installed BTS on a different machine (e6600/4GB/HD4850-1GB) that is running Win7-64bit and have applied and re-applied the 3.19 patch. No matter what I do though, diversica refuses to install, instead saying it reckons BTS isn't patched to 3.19, or at least that it can not find the right pointer to this in the registry.

Any help really would be much appreciated, I'm itching to give it a try

Yes, installing all the additional leaderheads might push you over the edge on a 32bit system (not sure, when I still had one, it did not, but I have added some more leaders since).

All I cen recommend there is trying to see if not having some modules (predominantely LHs or maybe some civs) solves the problem. If it does not, then it must be something else than a MAF.

It should find all pointers in the registry, did you try other mods with installers ?
I use the same logic for locating BtS as others do too. Can you e.g. get RevDCM installed ?

If 2.61 works for you I wonder what they did differently, as that is what my script was based on. If 2.71 works for you, then my next installer should work for you too, as I tend to update based on their changes.

If you have one that works, please let me know, so I can try to locate their install script and see what they do differently.

The current installer is looking for the BtS path within HKey Local Machine for

"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword"
"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete"
"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold"

The version is checked via

"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword"

Any help really would be much appreciated, I'm itching to give it a try

I switched to an installer to allow for selecting components instead of only being able to install the complete mod.

Maybe I should package a zip again, or at least alternatively, for those who have problems with the installer for whatever reason.

That was quick :)

Other than CartherEarth, I haven't yet used other mods.

The current installer is looking for the BtS path within HKey Local Machine for

"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword"
"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete"
"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold"

The version is checked via

"Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword"

It specifically says that it can find BTS, just that it isn't the latest version.

The registry currently reads like this:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\1.00.0000]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\1.61]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\1.74]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword\3.01]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the Sword\3.19]

I noticed it wasn't in LOCAL_MACHINE, unfortunately adding it there made no difference either...

Maybe I should package a zip again, or at least alternatively, for those who have problems with the installer for whatever reason.

Yes please! (any chance of getting my hands on it today?) Or you could perhaps do an archive based installer, so that people wanting to get at the contents still can.

Please try RevDCM 2.71, if that works, then the next installer should work for you too :)

EDIT: the issues you have should be addressed by their latest installer
