just a couple of quick question here. i put the DCM into the mod and it worked and all but it still lets you use the old bombard button as well as the new one. is it suppose to leave the old one in? i cant tell if one does more damage than the other.

second question is when bombarding units it only damages one unit at a time there is no collateral damage at all, even with the barrage promo. is it possible to change that?

Dale's Ranged Bombardment hardly does any damage to units. Maybe like, 0.3-0.5 damage at best. I've learned this through extensive testing.

If you want to do real damage to units, give the unit "AirCombat" and "AirRange" rates. Try it out, and see if you like it better.
 
I got the mod to work just fine but when I copy the mod over to my own personal mod I run into a probelm with the button not firing... umm... I didn't copy over assets/xml/units/civ4unitInfos.xml, and civ4classInfos.xml over my personal mod files...

What is in the files civ4unitInfos.xml, and civ4classInfos.xml that come with the DCMRangedBombardWArcharyBarrage.zip that I need for this mod to work?

Both files are XML schema files containing specific data settings for units. You must have both files for the mod to work correctly. ;)

Well I really appreciate you updating Dale's mod to use Bhuric's changes, but I'm not too crazy about the Archery Barrage. I find it a bit much being able to fire on three or more squares at a time. How can I disable it my game? I only want to use the barrage from the regular seige weapons.

Download Orionveteran version post #66 if you do not want Archery Barrage and for the record Archery Barrage does only one square and also it only works with your archers when they are gone Archery Barrage is not use anymore in the game I'am not changing anything. Ask DALE to update his mod DCMRangedBombard

...and for the record Archery Barrage does only one square...

When I was testing out the mod, I put three Wolves on seperate squares around the Longbowman I added in Worldbuilder. And I'm pretty sure the Longbowman did damage to all three of those Wolves, not just one.

All the data is needed. For the record, you can't mix and match XML schema files by cutting and pasting the data. There are specific calls made to these files by name. If you try to cut and paste that data the mod will fail to work correctly.

If a mod is updated with another major feature, like archery barrage, any previous games played, may not work with the new updated mod. You must start a new game. Also you might have to clear the system cache files to get a new mod to work.

It's all good in the hood. Figured it out, just had to do a little cutting and pasting. But it looks like all I had to do was fill in the <iCollateralDamage> lines. thanks anyway. :king:
