Bug reports and technical issues

Didn't you know he was Thai? :D Will be changed.

And since all cannons can't enter jungle, the Siege Elephant can't as well.

Elephants should be able to go through jungle, India has substantial jungle.

I think this was mentioned before, but there is a persistent bug with Mercenary screen (contracted out tab). Some units who wait to be hired disappear without being hired and you cannot recall them back, so you basically lose your units without any trace.

Also you cannot fire some units you have hired many-many turns ago. You cannot see them in "hired" list.

Just a couple of bugs from my last Arabia game.

  1. The second UHV was completed in 1000 AD, instead of the 1300 AD it says in the objective.
  2. The Seljuks were removing Islam from conquered cities rather than adding it.
  3. I lost the tech race UHV to the Greeks, who were dead.

I've already checked, it's by, so you can win that goal early on. That said, it doesn't make much sense in the current environment anymore in my opinion, because that goal now represents recovering from Egypt and Seljuk attacks so you shouldn't be able to win it before.

Leoreth, I've updated to the latest revision and SVN tells me that one or more files are in a conflicted state.
Specifically, there is a big Exclamation Point on my CvGameCoreDLL.dll.

Oh, right. Of course. :)

Not that much of a biggy, but still though I'd point this out.

Hard to avoid, but not much of a problem unless you don't found Kyoto.

Why don't you just put fish on that "lake" and remove the whatever resource outside the island?
It's historical (because it is actually not a lake, but sea) and solve both whether it found either Kyoto or Tokyo or whatever you name it.. :)

Sorry, I've missed that post. Nothing's wrong for me. Did you change anything to the DLL?

Anyway, easiest solution is to delete all files that are shown as conflicted (red/yellow signs) and update again.

Indonesia's first (only?) leader has no greeting text when you first meet him; presumably this is due to not having custom text, but it's still pretty jarring to not even have default text.

Default text needs to be specifically declared as well, seems like I forgot him.

Yeah, that's intentional. You can always switch to respawned civs (i.e. Italy and Iran). I didn't want people missing that opportunity just because they switch from Rome to Ethiopia or something.

Maya get Great General by 1600 UVH3 is broken, go to Detroit and have a longbowman attach the 1S dog soldier, get GG, end turn, nothing...

Played as Rome on monarch, collapsed around the 800's. Lugdunum, LutPar and Burdeoux went to my vassal france, brundisium went to my vassal greece and rusadir and mediolanum went indie. But carthago remained mine, even though rome was my capital and I did not have any palace in carthago.

I think the new city owner after a civil war is quite random... you doesn't have to have palace or anything there to make sure that you still possess it.

I assume that Carthage is long dead so you won't get Carthago to flip to them...
Since LutPar, Burdigala and Lugdunum is on French core and French is alive, they flip to them..
No idea with the Brundisium.. the city on the tip of Iberia right? CMIIW
Mediolanum indie because you can't have a civil war while next city to your capital is still yours ;)

Just theory.
Trust me, it is all random ;)
hehe
