Thanks, works great now! :D

Could somebody please explain this to me?

I saw that someone posted about this back on Oct 11, and it doesn't seem to have been fixed. Perhaps he didn't give enough details.

Playing as China in the 3000 BC game you can build the Terracotta Army if you have the right criteria (pottery and Confucianism), but in the 600 AD game it has not been pre-built and is not available to be built even if you have the right criteria. I think the problem is that it should be built in Xi'an, but since that is China's starting city it was not pre-built.

I noticed when I settle Chang'an (which later becomes Xi'an) that there is a Confucian temple in the city. Perhaps you can also have the Terracotta Army be there when the player settles Chang'an?

Is it normal that as Italy, when winning a city in a congress (in this case, Istanbul), I receive 2 infantries instead of Bersagliere ?

The Mughals make no sense, they spawn just after Mongolians and with a lot more techs...
The Mughals represent the Delhi Sultanate and pretty much the whole Islamic India.

Sounds good.

Nope!

I cant seem to hire mercs as Poland - hired one from the merc screen, but it never showed up anywhere. Does it work for the rest of you? Can upload a save if I'm the only one.

I get a CTD at the end of the turn, with this in the log file:

About time congresses were made to be the top 9? in score. Simple and encourages buffing up vassals.

I'd rather see it be the top 5 + 4 out of the next 6 or 7. Still encourages buffing vassals at least enough to get them a chance at an invite, but guarantees the big dogs get to play. I think it's also especially appropriate given that the idea of 5 Great Powers started with the Congress of Vienna and in a sense continues to this day via the Security Council.

I was playing a game as the Arabs, with today's SVN revision. I have VD and the VD patch installed, as well as the Blue Marble terrain file. For some reason, my ships can't enter forts! Is this intentional?

No, it isn't. Can you upload the save?

I'll see if I can make one. I think it is from something that I don't build/like to build.

It may be related to Byzantines. VD messed up a lot of icons (rifleman-musketman, Korean trireme-frigate).

As Japan, I am trying to make a desktop-background type game, but when I open WB to make sure the world is going perfect, that is when I get my size 64/ memory allocation error. I am not a computer genius (sad here where we actually distinguish between LA and the rest of California) but would like to know what this means from a technical standpoint.

As every VD game lately gave me a CTD when I tried to open WB, I am now playing without VD (most recent SVN+blue marble).
Would it be possible to re-download VD+patch and NOT get the CTD while playing the savegame with VD+patch+blue marble I started today without VD? Or is it uncertain and I still might get the CTD?
I know, kind of a first civ-world problem, but I really enjoyed VD...

I know, sorry for the trouble.

I'm not sure if converting savegames from non-VD to VD or the other way around is safe. I've done it a few times and never had any problems, though. I think as long as the version you previously used your save with is bug-free (at least when it comes to the data that is stored inside the savegames), there shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know if redownloading VD will fix your problem, or what part of the WB especially crashes your game. Since opening WB makes the whole map visible, every graphic will be loaded into your memory. That means the crash either comes because your memory can't handle all the graphics, or because one of the graphics is broken or missing, which can also result in a CTD.

Probably not related to the Byzantines. I just got past 1600 (game I started right after I looked at the one save and got the same error).

Is there a better way to get rid of VD before I delete my folder and re SVN?

Also - please make Belgrade start pop 2 or make it un razeable. It gets razed turn 1 by the Byzantines every time.
