Bug reports and technical issues

1) What is Yaroslav doing so late? IMO Peter should become the Russian leader earlier.
Spoiler :
attachment.php

Yaroslav is leader of Russia for as long as it's medieval. And because he techs with the speed of a monkey banging random stuff together, that tends to be until the 17th, or sometimes 18th century. If Russia reaches the Renaissance after 1700 you won't even see Peter at all as it will skip right to Catherine. I think maybe adding Ivan Grozny in to take over from Yaroslav in 1400 or so would make it a bit less odd.

The better solution is to have Russia not completely suck at teching.

Different Civs can ask for the same cities in World Congresses, guy on last page.

As for me, I'm still getting really weird city art bugs. I re-installed VD, but it didn't fix anything. This just started one or two SVN commits ago too. I guess no one has any idea of how to fix it?

Just have Catherine appear at 1750 or something, rather then 1700. Especially since I find Russia's strength to be fine overall, it can be a lategame beast.

Which is weird, considering that Peter died in 1725.

Whenever I start DoC, this pops up.

After that message, a seemingly endless barrage of XML errors follow. Mostly about the civics. This is the latest svn.

Oh, I think I know what this is about. Which modules are you using?

There were a few Python exceptions involving either the UN or the Apollo Program, I don't know which one. It occurs every few turns. I couldn't get a screenshot, though. (I don't know how on a non-steam version.)

I'm currently using the soundtrack module and blue marble.
I'll be back with a fix in a few minutes.

Edit: download the attached file and unpack it into your Modules\DoCMusic\ folder.

Simply use the Print key, the screenshot will be in your My Games\Beyond the Sword\ folder. If you haven't started another game already, you can still find these exceptions in the Logs subfolder of the same folder, by the way.

I had a python error popup that I didn't capture with a screenshot. My python error log file has this:

Is that PythonErr.log?

That's strange. Is Python logging active in your _CIV4Config file? It's a separate entry from the on-screen exceptions.

1) Ethiopia is seen from the beginning while playing as Korea.

2) The Plague icon is on the scoreboard but the plague isn't in any of my cities (the icon disappeared next turn).

Something about the changes to the French UP seem to have affected diplomacy with AI France now. Unlike the other civs, France wants to trade in multiples of 3 gold, whereas every other civ wants to trade in multiples of 5 gold.

That's weird, but okay. I'll look into it.

I was playing as the Byzantines and in the year 1760 it said that the Turks declared their independence. I decided to let them stay because I only saw they had one city on the outskirts of my empire that was very small. But then I noticed Ctesiphon (Baghdad) was my capital, so I look over to Constantinople and the Turks flipped it when they respawned! (It was my capital)

I thought when civs spawned or respawned they weren't suppose to take your capital.

EDIT: I don't know if you need to know this, but my civics were Republic, Representation, Capitalism, Free Market, Secularism, Imperialism. Controlled the core area and Iberia, Italy, Mesopotamia, Gaul, Egypt and Northern Africa.

Nothing to do with your civics. Capitals are only immune to flip if they are your only city.
