C2C SVN Changelog

Hello, hello!

I'm ready for my yearly couple of months of Civ 4 addiction, and have just updated my SVN install. You've all been mightily busy, and it looks like there'll be a lot to relearn. Looking forward to seeing how the AI is playing these days. (though if seal, walrus and cactus aren't being placed right now, maybe I should hold off on starting one of my epic struggles.)

Anyhows, I've tried to catch up with this thread, and I don't think I've seen it mentioned that an awful lot of building descriptions are rather messed up right now. Hopefully the screenshot captures the issue.

Update

-Units reported to Unit Review Thread reviewed and updated.


That's officially my checkpoint for release. There's a few other things I COULD do but aren't what I view to be compulsory pre-release.

Therefore, with this update, I'm giving my go-ahead stamp. Even though I know we're delayed.

From here I will be watching for bugs and playtesting and seeing if there's any other major things to address. There was a health/unhealth discrepancy as well as some display discrepancies that were fairly minor and I might tinker with some of those - may even look into the city attack AI bug SO reported but I don't expect to gather enough information about the AI structure there to be able to address that anytime soon.

For the most part anyhow, I think I'll be best able to serve the mod by directly playtesting and bughunting for a bit while planning for some Size Matters AI and promotions to be made after the release. I'll also try to get around to writing a more clear guide for Size Matters and to help explain how the loading mechanism works there in better detail (there's some unstated things of fair importance that take place there...)

Anyhow... onward to release at this point :D

Oh... and welcome to the growing team roster Genius, whether the leaders decide to grant SVN access yet or not you're helping so you're team in my book. I've really been proud of the new team members and efforts showing up here lately. Very cool to see new blood tossing in with us! Our modding power grows stronger all the time and it's really going to show in the release from this lengthy but thorough cycle!

I super shout out to all those that have been helping with the tech quotes. Those are WAY long over due. I know we still have many to do but its making C2C seem a little more polished. Its those little things that get passed over, and I am glad to see them getting some love. :beer:

Fixed the 'ARTSTYLE_NEANDERTHAL not found' error shown by the Debug DLL.

- Move my nationals and great wonder into core (Bull Leaping, national Library service and Labyrinth)
- Move Lascaux great wonder into core.

7003 User Settings: put back the way it was before, to see if its ok now to let user's make there own mind back up??
 
7004 update

- Change the names of the units and promotions for the master Hunter line to Master not Great as it is now. (Just removing confusion before it can happen ;))
- Move the master hunter buttons into core.

-- Move Fresh Water basin from Orion's Health Care mod into core and make it a regularly generated feature.
-- Parrots and Rice allowed on the Fresh Water basin.
-- Reorder bonuses so that they show up better grouped in WorldBuilder.

The UNIT_SUBDUED_ARMADILLO had the wrong DefaultUnitAI.

Fixed a CTD reported by Talin2009.
Possible fix for a non-repeatable CTD reported by JosEPh_II.
 
Updates
  • Extended Alberts's fix so that units won't adjust National Power and Asset values by less than 0 (in almost all cases - his fix catches the rest.) To go further would require setting up a more granular method to power and asset compilation and it's more than is really necessary there I think.

  • When NOT on the Fight or Flight options, Animals (as defined by bAnimal) do not have base withdrawal ability nor will they get any from their combat classes. That oughta fix DH's complaint there.

This was actually poultry not parrots, though I may add parrots as well.
