C2C SVN Changelog

I have had something of a break-through today!

While playing my current play(test) game, the world's other (and dominant - I'm well behind him) super-power suddently comitted civic suicide by switchign to chiefdom with 34 cities with both city limits and REV enabled!

Since I had auto-saves I went back and ran it under the debugger, so now I finally know why this sometimes occurs, and am able to fix it. Turns out that the original BBAI code that evaluates happyness effects of civics didn't cope well with large negative swings in happyness, and various intermediate values overflowed due to a quadrantic term that was never set up for negative values. The overflow caused the final result to be a large positive value, causing the switch.

I have now fixed this and tested it against my own game. Prior to this fix it weas essentially inevitable that large AI civs would self-destruct at some point. That should no longer happen.

Glad I found this before the v21 relaese :)

Great :goodjob:

Good News Koshling! I may actually try a game with those Options On. Before, for me and speaking only for me, it was pointless in my way of thinking and playstyle to use them.

Congrats on the find. :thumbsup::clap:

I have "Arctic Combat" promotion to be able to mod during the freeze. :p

I'll have to take that as soon as I get 2 modding xp.:lol: In all seriousness though;

Update: Changed the Urumi Swordsman model as per Hydro's request, all my units and art are ready for merging now.

Updates
- Farmer's Market moved to Guild's tech and now requires Agricultural Guilds civic.
- Garbage Collection Agency is now a National Wonder and has some tweaked stats.
- Landfill is now a normal building, has tweaked stats and now requires Landfills OR Waste Importation OR Waste to Energy civics.
- Waste Incinerator Power Plant now requires Green OR Waste to Energy civics.

Added
- Add in the definitions for the new climate and physical water models. IE Deep Ocean (by Kathy) and Polar and Tropical versions of Coast, Ocean and Deep Ocean.

This needs to be out there for a while or my future sets of updates that will use these terrains may cause some minor problems. They do not appear on any maps yet and no units use them yet either,

Does this require a new game to take effect?

No, it has no effect at all. That will come later. It is just definitions. They will need to be added to the map scripts first and units will need to be able to use them and sea creatures spawning and ranges will need to be changed. Then it will require a new game but save games will mostly work with minor problems with animal spawning.

Oh and I think we will need a new tag on the tech infos file to allow trade across deep oceans.

Getting a crash trying to load a savegame after updating to 1820. Rolling back to 1819 and everything works fine. Was deleting the entire Units.FPK in 1820 intentional?
