Still nothing... boy this really calmed down...

But there is a slight problem... I had borrowed my Civ3 and PTW discs to my friend and I didnt realize he still had them until now, 4 days before I move away and only have my laptop, with no civ3. Hopefully I can get those discs before I move but if I dont I'll need a replacement or someone can play my turn.

It would be fair to get a temporary replacement ... not to totally replace

My thoughts ... but I will leave the decision to you ...

vs Spain
>Sistine Chapel,

>Printing Press in 3 turns ... I give Banking
I have managed to obtain Printing Press and as agreed I have traded to you ... pending acceptance. ... I have also acquired Banking from another source and will accept another tech or promise of a tech in future for me to offer and accept now.
>Trade Screen = Printing Press ... Accept
But you agreed that I would give Banking to you ... you should not have agreed to it from another ... I guess I will have to give you another tech then ... but I am not amused ... I don't know yet what to research ... please do not change agreements in the future this is no way to spread goodwill between our respective nations ... so as per what I thought our deal was, you will accept my acceptance and I will complete the banking research which is very soon now
> I think that sounds heavy enough :mischief:
There was no agreement that our exchange was mutually exclusive to prevent other exchanges. Someone made an offer to me and I took it in exchange for another tech and other agreements that improve Spain's position in the game. Sorry if the great Liz is upset however I must ensure the interests of Spain are met first over those of England.
Well I guess we shall put it down to cultural differences ... in my Country a gentleman's word is his bond ... anyhow as mentioned I shall agree to another tech ...
Hmmm ... bite
Queen Elizabeth of England ... Now you insult my honour by implying my word is not good ! That I take as an insult to me and all my countrymen. ... I ask for a retraction.

Responding to my e-mail to just make sure deal is going as planned -
<SPAIN>Actually you're going to get it in 10 turns. I'm recieving what again?<END>
<ENG>Printing Press in 10 turns ... wow you speeded up ... you will get Banking in 15ish<END>

1492
<ENG>Just to confirm we will swap techs ... whoever researches first will give it to other ... eg. If I give you Banking first I'll send it to you and you send Printing Press when you have researched it ... Yes ?<END>
<SPAIN>Agreed<END>

1490
<ENG>Catholic? ... Do research swap agreement?<END>
<SPAIN>Sure it would give us an edge ... I can't recall ... soon as I get the turn next we'll talk<END>
<SPAIN>Printing Press in 27 turns ... I was going for magnetism however the need for colonists is more important ... I'm a catholic monarchy ... Until we get to counter reformation in the middle ages we can enter into a researching agreement and perhaps some mutual cooperation when possible ... Do we publicize our researching agreement or keep it a secret ?<END>
<ENG>I don't think that the rest of the world (ie. players) need to know ... I mean we are not at war or anything major like that ... I see this as a discussion over drinks when I visited unannounced to see a bull fight ... agreed?<END>
<SPAIN>Agreed<END>

Your signature is at the bottom of all correspondence ... now before God you did as late as 1503 confirm that I was to get Printing Press for Banking ... you changed that last turn ... I am not happy as the agreement has been broken on your part ... However justifiable my anger is, I choose to cave into your alternative, where you give me as we had agreed the tech, and then I will give you another when I have researched it ...

Ok, here's the deal. I have no way to play civ3 as of now, but I should be able to by next Monday or tuesday. I don't know what we want to do, if you want to wait until then or what?

Status update... package should be mailed tomorrow, I should have it by the end of the week. Got a little delayed but it's coming

I sent the turn off quite a while ago... maybe a new game should be started?

Last turn I received was 1513 AD on Sept 4. I'm willing to continue playing ...

Perhaps if everyone just lists what turn they have we can figure out who has been a bad boy and needs a spankying. ;)

I'm pretty sure the last save I sent was 1513AD on the 4th to WarningU2. I don't have my old saves as they're not on my laptop, which is the only computer I have access to now.
