C3C PBEM : "Haiti" - Age of Discovery scenario-based PBEM

I apologize in advance for shouting  ... but we havn't had a turn report since 17th June ...

 WHAT IS THE FRIGGIN PROBLEM WITH YOU GUYZ ... I had to AGAIN rescue this game from the 2nd page ...
... This is starting to really p#ss me off :aargh: ... I am almost ready to quit ... I will send everyone an e-mail to try and find out where we are ...

And could everyone answer on the DAMN THREAD :wallbash: ... that what its there for ...

Now come on and lets have some fun ... or replace those who have lost interest :goodjob:

Actually, considering the way most PBEM's run that I am in and given the number of people in this game, I thought this was running reasonably well. I believe I sent the turn off to the Portugese a couple of days ago. I will verify when I get home from work.

If your complaint is the lack of posts in this thread, I know from my perspective I don't have time to report each and every turn for the sake of rereporting the state of the nation and getting the page advanced. If a major event occurs, I will of course post it here but otherwise I return a GPS to the next player usually within 24 hrs of receipt of the turn - often more frequently.

If you are expecting me to update each turn here I'm sorry and I will gladly bow out if thats what is needed. Please advise.

Please don't see this as an attack ... Just reacting to lack of feedback from most of players on where the game is stuck ...

The 17th was the last reported turn ... a civil request for info was posted 3 days ago ... and ignored

I usually get to play a turn every 2 to 3 days so was curious as to the reason ...

I'm not suggesting that everyone writes a scenario essay ... as I am doing ... However atm it is only Aluminium and myself who are regular in reports ... you may recall that this game died once for this very reason ...

Without info posted on the thread how can we chase up turns ...

As long as you're sending a GPS, we know where the turn is. Are you sure you've been sending one, Warning? I don't remember getting one. Plus, you can't possibly tell me that you've had nothing important happen except land in the New World. And then there's the Portuguese, who haven't said a word. I'm not saying you have to post every turn but it does help keep the thread on the first page. Plus then the rest of us know where the turn is.

The last turn I received was 1502 on June 16th in the evening I recall. I didn't get a chance to play it on the Thursday night the 17th due to some friends over for dinner. I GPS'd 1502 on June 18th in the morning. I sent the turn onto Fab (Portugese) on June 18th at 7:09 am before I went to work. To the best of my knowledge I GPS most turns. I have 5 games going on so its possible I may miss one.

I would love to have the time to put some more details in the thread but in all honesty there isn't much to tell. The full story is this:
I've settled one city in the new world. I did engage the Aztecs in a war on the Yucatan in the hope of taking a fast city but lost two units. I did capture a worker who is slaving away making cigars.
I would be more curious who has the turn right now rather than be concerned about with the level of details in the thread.

Listen if you have someone else in mind who is more chatty please free to replace me. :) I'll gladly continue to play on until the games conclusion but I'm not about to change my posting habits. If you find someone else that lives up to your standards ... just let me know.

The last I played was 1501.
If I will hold a turn more than 12 hours, I will post here before.
I always post GPS here. The reason why I don't post reports is that there is nothing to report. No battles with other players or AI, just barbarians.

Don't think so Classical Hero (will let you know if we do :p ) ... it does appear that we have lost the game save though  ...

When (and if) we do resume, I am hoping that ALL players start reporting moves on the thread ...

:crazyeye: This has become a prime example of how NOT to play a pbem :nono: :D

Anyway can I suggest that FAB plays on with the save that WarningU2 sent us all ... and FAB please start posting on this thread :( ... Lets get this fine game going again :goodjob:

BTW ... You have until end of month to start or I will quit ... ... so can someone e-mail FAB if he doesn't read this ...

i have sent fab a reminder again. I haven't checked but is there a temporary absense thread for him ? Please note starting Friday I am away until the following Thursday.
