CapNES2: The New Shuffle

Press Conference, Presidential Offices - Richmond, VA, USA

"Everyone, please, settle down" exclaimed Donald Erickson, Press Secretary of the Harrison administration. "The first order of business," he continued after the audience grew quiet, "is we would like to offer a formal apology to at least one member of the Grand Coalition, the Ottoman Empire, as it is known to be engaging in action against the Holy Roman Empire's unchecked aggressions."

There was loud murmuring from the crowd before it was again hushed with a gesture of waving arms "Although we still do not endorse the lack of a declaration of war before beginning hostilities, we do acknowledge their support - news of their actions reached us only shortly before the statement was issued and it could not be stopped in time to be edited."

He paused again as the press grew cacophanus before managing to shut them up again "That said, we still find the lack of action by the remaining powers of the Grand Coalition, even just in word, to be morally disturbing. Moving on to domestic issues..."

Also, the swift and injust denial of the Canadian government to give Quebec seats in parliamant when asked makes it impossible

When did that happen? :s

the relocation of Irish to nazi-esque ghettos doesn't help your situation either.
Does it say that the government forced them? :s

And ermm Communisto what I have read says that the act of 1774 allows the Quebecious to worship whomever they choose. And i also cannot find rebellions of 1860, so link?

The diplo is public; anyone can see it through their embassies.

Huh? Um, somehow I don't see how is anyone supposed to view it through an embassy. Unless you reprint every communique without the *secret* mark x times (where x is the amount of the nations in the world) and send one to every embassy...

It was a bloody open letter. Figure out how you saw it if you want, but you did. :p

No I didn't! I closed it with my hand and quickly scrolled down the widnow, I suspected it might be an assassination attempt!

On another interesting note, I would really like to know if there is anybody planning a coup in Russia. Because if there's anybody... Well, I'm on to him. Sortof.

i'll get them. Yeah the act 'officially' gave them freedom. But they were still pursecuted. Look at blacks in the 60s, they were 'free'. The reasons for the rebellions of the patriots was to get seats in parliamant after the british denied it. Im sure you can find something. Its taught like hell in french canada but the english speaking provinces refuse to teach it in canada, they are to afraid to portray an image that isn't a canada where every single minority is happy.

Since relations the USM has thusfar declined to send Advisors to assist in the training of your military, and both the USA and USM have developed stronger ties, we are extending an offer of sending Military Advisors to your country in order to facilitate the further training of your military in modern military tactics.

We thank you! Your friendship will not be forgotten in the future.

We need weapons more than anything else.

Why are you getting involved in European affairs? You have no business there. And why are you supporting the British Alliance, the nation you hate. You have no business in Europe, fix your own problems before you try to fix others.

If you take one step further into Europe, we will act.

Our nation was founded on the principles of freedom from persecution, and freedom of government. We will support, in spirit if nothing else, any other people who have similar such aims. The Poles are one such people. It is acknowledged that the German and Polish people have a troubled history but we are saddened by the lack of diplomatic effort to resolve the situation and find your preemptive strike unappealing.

We bear no ill will toward the people of Germany but we will not condone the military overrun of a free people, and will oppose such a move, even if in words alone, regardless of whom the allies of the Polish people might be.

Our advisors should arrive within a week.

Spoiler :
*secret* Arms shipments may be possible within a short time period.

Actually, we tried diplomatic means, but Poland did not answer. We are just reclaiming our lost lands, just like New England was taken from you by the British. Eastern Germany was taken from us by the Poles, and we want it back.

As you suggest from our own history, we understand that such things are delicate matters. Does the HRE government intend to stop once it has reached its former borders? It has already been proven that sentiments run deep on both sides. Perhaps a compromise could be reached on territory with the Polish government. HRE advances already approximate their former territories in the area.

If the HRE is not seeking the total overrun of Poland, the USA finds such measures understandable. If it does seek dominion over the Polish people, we must strongly disagree with the morality of such measures.

We do not seek total overrun of Poland, we just want our lands back that were taken from us.

In that case the United States has decided to refrain from further criticism of the HRE's actions in Poland. However, we would like to send Military Observers to the front if possible, both to observe the HRE's renouned military tactics and to satisfy the international community that the Polish people are being treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve. One does not obtain permanent peace by building upon past crimes, and although we do trust the HRE to be most civilized in their conduct of the action, we are sure that that the HRE's government could understand the benefits of impartial observers from outside Europe for both itself and the Polish people.

Emperor Lungdi was getting old really, it wasn’t just his physical form, he was in his sixties after all but mentally too. The HRE had attacked Poland, which was allied to China due to the Grand Coalition against Russia and the Chinese Emperor was honor bound to declare war on the HRE and send troops. But was it worth the effort? Was the Chinese Army even large enough to stop the German attack and would they reach the area in time?

He then turned and walked into the Chamber of Deputies preparing to for the first time actually ask for advice from those people.

“Members of the Chamber of Deputies, I am here to inform you, which you should already know, of the German assault into Poland, an ally of China. You ask me how Poland and China became allied due to our previous common enemy Russia. For the first time, I give the power to you, the Chamber of Deputies, to vote on whether China shall go to war or not.”

It was a long and hard decision, and despite the Emperor holding olive branches and letting go white doves, the Chamber came to a decision despite the Emperor’s own idea.

China would go to war with the HOly Roman Empire.

Of course, the finance department flat out rejected paying for an expedition to go to Holy ROman Empire but no one knows that outside of the Chinese Government aside from a remark the Chinese Ambassador made to the Holy roman Kaiser…

To Holy ROman Kaiser
From Chinese Ambassador in Berlin "Competely Secret" :p

The Chinese Empire officially declares war on the Holy Roman Empire even though the finance department is too much of a miser to pay for an attack on German soil.

We are rather annoyed to hear that US goverment is giving training and weapons to Golumbian extermist's, this will not help to bring stability in South America. We are asking you to stop weapons shipments before even starting them.

andis-1: The weapons part was secret. There are punishments for people who mention secret things... :p Just don't do it again.

The United States government is as shocked by the news of arms shipments to Colombia as the Platine Empire is as our offer only encompassed Military Advisors. We see no harm in educating the Colombian forces on how better to defend their soverign nation from potential aggressors. Europian influence in the Western hemisphere is not to be underestimated, and it is wiser to be prepared than not to resist international influences if they prove to be detrimental.

Our current arrangements with the Colombian government are strictly limited to training. However, we will keep the Platine Empire's concerns in mind before ever considering as involved a course of action as arms trading.
