Capto Iugulum: 1920 - 1939

To: The First Republic of the United Spanish Empire
From: The United Principalities of India

Dear Tutors in Governing,
we believe it is time for the return of Madeira to India before the restive population engages in any further violence. We cannot offer any payment sadly as our nation is poor and distraught, but if you acquiesce we will keep the favor you have done us and our people in mind.

Madeira is in the Atlantic, and belongs to Portugal.

The two places you are thinking of are Puduchcherry, which is the city on the south-east coast, and the Kaithawar peninsula. Both of which comprise the Spanish India colony, and have been given to Germany in the peace treaty, in preparation for a 5 year referendum on joining India later.

Great India apologizes for its geographical error, thanks the Danish ambassador for his correction, and can confirm it meant Kaithawar. The High Prince overslept and had to run out on some errand after he wrote the letter in great haste.
We are overjoyed that Kaithawar as well as Puducherry will be allowed to vote on its status in 5 years!

We support the liberation of your held territories from the Germans. We also support any movement that prevents the current Hindu heathen government from forcing worldwide alliances on your people or other injustices.

Now that democracy has finally reached Venezuela, we would like to join PADA, as well as establishing lower tariffs with other PADA members of the Caribbean region.

Your support for Indian territorial unity is duly noted and appreciated, though we are positive towards the government's initiative to ally with the Christian nation of Germany. Their promise to allow plebiscites in 5 years is the most that any nation has done for India since the Spanish Empire threw us away to the heathens and seperated us from the most Christian areas of our nation that they retained. We find the current government amenable to our demands and as such hope Brazil will not change their attitude by provocation.

The Confederation protests that it was under the impression it would have the opportunity to vet the treaty before it was posted. We also observe that Germany did undertake privately to allow French observers at the plebiscites, who will be sent accordingly.

Signed Friedrich Ebert
Signed King Robert of Paris and Burgundy

OOC: And with that, I quit, with my tenure of the country terminating concurrent with the plebiscites (and not before). I've enjoyed the NES on the whole, and may take something else when the mood takes me. I count my run with the Confederation as a success in thwarting nationalism and building up a great power from very little, anyway, and I am now rather glad to be rid of it.

The plebiscite monitors should please be sent and reparations paid without further ado, seeing as I'm not sending orders for next turn.

Sad to see you go. :( Its been good to have you onboard, Spry, even if it has been as a sworn enemy who betrayed both Denmark and Spain.

OOC: dang. I'll prepare an offer concerning the Confederation once I get back from work EQ. I want to make a bid for what remains of it. hold off takeing up a new player till then. and I'll get orders in for the Swiss to.
and you played a very good Confederation Spryllino, its sad to see you leaving.. hmm. I'll forward you a copy of my plans when I send it to EQ. just for fairness, and in hopes of an endorsement.
UES Ho!

To: Occitania
From: Italy

After hearing Occitania's reasoning, and not looking to fight a war in which we have no business fighting, we will agree that 300 is indeed to steep of a cost. We'll take our conversation to private channels.

OOC: this is my first post on this fourm. EQandcivfanatic I looked at your game and I think it´s awesome, can I join as South Africa ?

OOC: I'm not sure about these "aftermath states". I'm moderately confident that the Confederation, which has an ideology that is presumably at least endorsed by its French people in it, ought to vote itself back into existence.

To: World Nations
From: India

We humbly appeal to the nations of the World for aid to help our poor and wretched nation (rest assured any aid will not be funneled into the 7,5k infrastructure program which is due to be canceled but will be spent on the transportation project to improve government control and improve the distribution of aid during future disasters). If you have no empathy for the poor Hindi souls, then know that we are passing legislation to represent religions by their percentage of the population in Congress at the next election. We hear the Bible encourages to aid the 'Samaritan', a foreigner of a different faith, let alone those of your own faith whom we treat justly and fairly.
- High Prince Khushwant Diwan

From Tibet
To India:

Buddha teaches that we should help the others. So I, the Dalai Lama of Tibet, will give you 10 EP's. I am sorry that I cannot give you more, but Tibet is also a poor country. You do not need to repay us the money we give you.

Buddha bless you.

To: Tibet
From: India

We thank you deeply for this gift, which we will never forget!
The Priesthood of India was indeed Buddhist once, a long time ago, and while we are not inviting any missionaries we will look into our past and contemplate Buddhism's influence on our development. We will also include Buddhism as one of our official religions to be represented in Congress by the percentage of population Buddhists make up.

To: the World
From: India

We humbly ask for you also to consider the goodly nation of Tibet. While different in religion from all other nations but China, they are a peaceful people in much need of help and succor from the rich nations of the world. We understand that your nations are rich due to wise rule over the ages, but it is true glory to help your fellow man to rise to your level.

We can not stand idly by as the large Catholic minority in India is forced by the Hindu government to align itself with the Protestant German threat. Moralism speaks for the liberation of men from such bonds. Germany only wishes to negate the Catholic peoples of the world through protestant nationalism that will surely destroy what the Church has built. This should not be allowed to continue. Should our party gain victory in the 1926 General Elections, the Brazilian Empire will devote economic aid to the Moralist Indians to ensure they are not subjected to the horrors of Drexlerianism. But before this can take place the Moralists in India must make a stand against the Hindu government, demanding that they have a say in a nation that is overwhelmingly heathen. If you are true Catholics, you will respect the word of Rome on this manner. Moralism is the future for India. Moralism is the future for our world.

Hey Joan, you want Catalonia? Cause I'm going to be taking one of the aftermath states instead. :)

OMYGOSHOMYGOSHOMYGOSH! No sorry, now I had different plans already. But NOBODY DARE TAKE IT TILL NEXT TURN. Because then I'll be done with some deals and things I wanted to do with Venezuela. :)
