Capto Iugulum Background Thread

I did not say that an invasion by sea would be good. I said that it would be a possibility. Read first, then comment.

It is the only possibility! It is great! Brazil, master of the waves, sails onward to victory only by the sea! Glory!

I did read, however since your comment that "they could attack by sea" was so blindingly self-evident (indeed if Spain did not attack Occitania in a hypothetical war through Catalonia/Euskadi, an amphibious stratagem Is the only option) It seemed clear to me that you were attaching some other value to your statement. Otherwise what would be the point of stating the obvious?

@EQ You forgot to mention the air war. And you also neglected to mention that the T-20 is not only the best tank on the battlefield, but the best in the Western Hemisphere. And is there any significant naval presence other than Maryland?

The USA has a single Liberator I built for them a while back.

I was talking about Milarqui's offensive against my lines in the Pyrenees during the Great War. Still not sure how they won.

Awesome write up of the Battle of Charleston. Looking forward to the outcome whatever that may be.

I think some folks in the Western Hemisphere own Cataphracts, and they're better than T-20s.

@Nintz: I've sent a message to you and would like a reply.

Nope, no Cataphracts in the Americas at all. Though Aztlan appears to have the new Czech tank, so the T-20 is now the second best tank in the hemisphere

EQ you have the reworked Jacksonian flag still, right?

Orleans has a flag I made. Somewhere in the main thread.

Do you remember where? I'd like to see it.

Norman Flag Ideas:

Spoiler :

Knowing that Normandy has been much more influenced by England in this timeline, the edits I did to existing Norman flag proposals have all used the English cross in some way.

Common flag of Normandy in OTL:

Flag of Sark (alternate OTL flag of Normandy:

Double Leapord in opposing corners, an edit of the Sark flag, because having the two leapords in the top left makes the flag look like its some kind of Norman colony of England.

Same, but more medieval stylized.

Comments/suggestions?

I prefer the first JK

Dauphine's Flag options:

Spoiler :
Noting that the Fleur-de-lis was symbolic of Frankish lineage and Frankish monarchy, there are two options here, one is simply the Dauphine flag without the fleur-de-lis, and the other is a variant of a less known flag.

Original minus fleur-de-lis:

I wasn't aware of a dependent association with the fleur. I suppose in that case you could just take them out and keep the cour-de-lys. For Orleans, that is.
