CCM2 Epic Mod

I'll wait for the bug to be fixed then
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :king::king::king::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Do you know if it makes a difference where to install the civilization, HDD or SSD?
Civ3 is from an era before SSDs.

No matter what CCM does to the game, I doubt it will make it require one.

I want to keep the Guerilla unit, but with tweaks (ATAR, no resources, and less defense than comparable offensive unit). I have read that if a land unit that has HN is buildable, the AI will spam them to death.
The question about the AI tendency to build units with the standard Civ 3 settings in my eyes is more a question for Ozy.

- If you click the "Manipulating AI Builds" in my sig, you'll see the rough order of Flags the AI prefers. HN is a big one, and the reason the AI will build a ton of Subs over surface Fleets ... But you can play with those Flags; you'll just need to let your imagination run a bit wild.

:D

 sometimes it gets tiring waiting for moves
Most of that "dead time" is the AI calculating trade routes. @Civinator's own brilliant "trick" of giving the Palace the Air Trade Flag (Civinator, have you dropped this ) It It might seem to stray from "reality," but I prefer that to reading significant chunks of War and Peace while waiting for the AI to make these calcs, especially late game.

The palace in CCM still holds the Air Trade Flag (but the main reason for giving this flag to the palace has changed). This allows civs an early trade of resources when having contact with each other, what in my eyes is great. In CCM it is not necessary to build a trade route by roads or by water for trading resources. The airports in CCM still have no air trade flag.

The harbours in CCM since some time have back their "allows water trade flag". The reason for this is the "Trade Net X" option in the brilliant Flintlock mod, that massively reduces the AI calculation time of the trade net.

Due to the bug in the current R17 versions of the Flintlock mod, Flintlock will post a new version of the Flintlock mod in the next days. Therefore the scenario.c3x_config file in the CCM3 download must be adapted to the upcoming next version of the Flintlock mod, too. I will also use this situation, to slightly increase the free units for the government City States in CCM3, what needs a new CCM 3 biq and a changed entry in the CCM civilopedia.

For the about 30 civers, who had still uploaded the current CCM 3 files, I will post separately the new CCM3 biq, civilopedia file and scenario.c3x_config file in the new updates page of the upcoming CCM 3 thread.

Of course the upcoming new version of the flintlock mod (R18) must be downloaded and installed, too.

The CCM3 thread is opened now. The download files are updated and for those civers who have yet uploaded the old version of CCM3, the updated files (scenario.c3x_config file for the new R18 version of the Flintlock mod, the new CCM3 biq and the new civilopedia text file will be available for a separate download very soon at page 2 of the CCM3 thread.

When installing this, can I just make a duplicate main Civ3 folder and put CCM in there? I'd like to be able to switch between vanilla and modded Civ seamlessly without CCM messing with the files.

That's what I did, and it works just fine.

The only drawback to this duplicated setup is that CAII can't monitor CCM/RARR games in progress and update itself automatically (presumably because the conquests.exe is now running from the "wrong" directory compared to the relevant registry entry). So when I want to see e.g. what new tech-deals are available, I have to load the latest autosave manually.

You could also just use CCM3, since that one is installed in the scenarios folder instead of replacing the original Civ3 files. But if it's CCM2 you want, then a secondary installation works fine as well.

What's CAII?
