This sounds fun, can I join? I've never played Baldur's Gate but if it's anything like D&D I can follow along.

I really intended on doing this for a 6 person party.

Can I join? Never played Baldur's gate, but I got all 3 guides and is usually DM. I would like being a player.

The guide I intend to follow is the BG game mechanics after all. there is the cheat console and I will simulate battles there (more on this later).

I really can only fit 6 character in there.

I'd like to give you guys a spot but I can't in the party but you 2 could always play NPC's

What do you think about that ?

When I started this thread I was hoping someone else would host it and as I mentionned I never hosted such games, neither on the net or IRL.

I got a bit caught off guard, So nothing is really prepared yet.

I still need to build up a story, set up my battle simulator and figure out what the hell I'm doing.

That's my guy. Technically Oskar's bald and beardless, but it's tough to find a bald, beardless portrait of a dwarf.

So, obviously, male. Worships Ehlonna.

Basically Oskar is a member of a dwarf tribe that was driven from its mountain home several generations ago. They settled in the nearby foothills, their craftsmen turning from mining and stonework to woodworking and forestry (but not in the happy, elven way; basically they sell lumber and furniture. He can get you a really good deal on a chest-of-drawers. Fine dwarven craftsmanship. Best chest in these parts. No? Well, since you're a friend of Rick's, we have a special price. Wait, I've got a desk here . . .)

Truth be told Oskar was never much of one for woodwork or salesmanship. He's pretty much a bodyguard, patrolling the forests and joining the caravans when his tribesmen cut trees or sell their wares . . .

He favors axes for hand-to-hand (of course), but his years of forest patrol have ingrained in him an irrational dedication to slings over bows . . .

He wandered Faerun for about ten years and gradually settled into a rogue's life, use his charm and natural agility to become a charming stranger by day and a benevolent thief by night. Ian's willingness to resort to lethal methods is offset by his benevolence towards those in unfortunate circumstances. He has never forgetten the poverty of his youth and will often go out of his way to help any poor or needy people he meets on his travels.

Of course, he is in no way adverse to making a pretty penny and cannot turn down an adventure, which is why he has joined forces with the party.

Ian is Chaotic Neutral BTW .

Like Kan' said that is exactly what I want. I never DMed a game before.

I got all the dices I need at home but I don't know how to calculate all the modifiers and stuff. I was thinking of using the BG game and generate the battles using the cheat console.
If you tell me that you can take care of the games mechanics by rolling the dices for the battles then you are our second DM.
Ill take care of the story and subquests and you could do some of the NPCs and dice rolling. What do you think about that?

Yes there are a couple of things Ill need.

Like saying what your Deity controls, God of the whatever.

Weapon Proficiencies you would like to have. (some of you did it allready)

For the Ranger (Kan') I need a mortal enemy race.

Ill come up with the other stuff later.

BTW till Ill use edwin's picture for you .... that was the one I was planning to use for my super vilain but ill find another one !
