Change the faces on the currency?

Shouldn't PI be on the $3.14159265 dollar bill?
Just as much as TEN should be on the $10 bill, but really, you can do both!

Firstly, take Lincoln off the penny and the five. Place Franklin on the penny, and Teddy Roosevelt on the five.

Take Jackson off the 20. Replace with Reagan.

Take Grant off the 50. Replace with Coolidge.

Take Kennedy off the half-dollar. Replace with Madison.

Discontinue the dollar coin, or put Eisenhower back on it.

Coolidge???
One of the 10 worst presendents, according to some. He did absolutely nothing. His entire platform was letting businesses run the economy and congress run the government. Some even blame the Depression on his inaction.

Why would you want him on our money?

And one of the best presidents, according to me.

He did absolutely nothing. His entire platform was letting businesses run business.

The only thing he could have done better was not have such high tariffs.

And a few years down the line look what happened: Buisness failed.

I've been thinking about this, and I have decided we should be placing historic Americans who epitomized honor and duty to their fellow citizens on our money. Therefore, I would like to see Robert E. Lee on one of the more common bills.

And the General Lee could be on the back!

Replace Grant with Eisenhower on the $50 bill, replace Jackson with either Roosevelt on the $20 bill, and add a $25 bill for MLK jr. Honestly, a $25 bill would be great, or at least I'd think so.

A $25 bill would get in the way. And confuse people who are used to $20's.

Besides, the number of people who can't figure out change with quarters and pennies and such is astounding.

because of Coolidge the depression occurred and because of Hoover the depression continued and woresened. Coolidge was a very poor president and largely responsible for the Depression.

For those of you who are disappointed that your favorite president does not have his own coin the United States Mint has heard your pleas. Beginning next year the mint will start issuing a one dollar coin for each president at the rate of four presidents a year. This is similar to the fifty state quarter program.

Had someone else been president, we wouldn't have had the Depression...right...

The Depression had a variety of factors; blaming it solely on Coolidge and Hoover would be foolish. I suppose you'd argue that Roosevelt made it all better?

I see nothing wrong with a president who was in office over a major economic boom period being honored on currency. And the American economy was pretty gosh-darn awesome for most of the 1920's.

Damn, that's a pretty good idea, I'm impressed that our government came up with it. :)
