Change the system

How... to enact it? Pass a bill. Or do you mean how it would help? Strengthen social security, public health care, unemployment insurance.

So it will give more money to the government to pork barrel?

The OP made the assumption that a college education is necessary to survive and prosper in the modern world.

Not true at all. I say that because I've had a college degree for ten years. My current job makes no use of any college material at all (been in this job two years, by the way), yet I still have a pretty comfy life, and my budget is running a surplus (yes, over the entire course of those two years). No, I can't afford a stretch limo or a house in Bel Air or a swimming pool the size of Nebraska. Cry me a river.

If I can do it, anybody can. Quit yer whining.

I don't believe in taxes as a way for anybody to get revenue. Taxes are where some guy in a suit breaks into your house and ramsacks it, taking whatever portion he wants, then when you complain he goes "you're in the minority".

It's the general idea that your things are not really yours, they're on loan from the state.

Taxes can be used to help strengthen programs that assists those wrongfully done in by authority.

I hear that sometimes, and personally I laugh when people think the man is keeping them down. Of course it holds a little truth because people with rich parents have a higher stepping stone in life, but skill and dedication can even things out. That's the great thing about America: people have opportunities and chances.

Unfortunatly if you waste them (the most profound of them come when you don't appreciatte it, ie school) there usually is little you can do about it afterward.

I'll take my asteriod now please.

Why would you trust the same authority who does the stealing to begin with?

Doesn't look that confusing to me... you're referring to Figure 3?

The black bar refers to the percentage of 18-24 year olds nationwide in that economic group. The colored bars refer to the percentage of recruits in that group.
I see now. I still maintain it is not clear. The Axis label "Percentage recruits vs. 18 - 24 year olds?" should be what the value on that axis reprasents. In this case it is "Percentage of 18 - 24 year olds in this socio/economic group". The differnt labels (black or coloured bars) are what gives the "vs." bit, not the values up the Y axis.

"Wrongfully done in by authority"? Could you elaborate? Other than, say, civil litigation I can't see what you're talking about.

Those who are exploited for labor by big corporations, kids who have no future because they are born into a rough neighberhood, even though they didn't get to choose.

its their own fault for not having the determination to pull themselves out of that 'pit,' god knows they've got the modivation to

its not as if the rich kids or middle class chose to be born into their way of life either, to get into the 'its not fair they were thrown into X kind of life' is just a recipe for disaster. and that one's not on El Justo's thread

A lot of them are screwed from the get go, born into poor families that can't afford education, etc.
