Is there anyone who likes to play Civ so much that do not mind playing with a lost civilizatioin?

The situation is as follows:
It is 1940 (but airplanes have not been invented yet) and one nation (the Goth's) are at war with 2 other nations in 2 fronts. In Europe the situation is (very) likely to be helpless but in America it could do some damage against its foes.

The current player has dropped out and we would prefer to have a human player rather than the AI.
- The situation is grim, so it not a long term committment, just a short term game
- you could test crazy tactics
- If you only play 4 turns (and then retire) it is okay, nobody will mind (better to have 4 turns in humand hands than none)

Who is brave enough to play with a hopeless situation for a bit?

Not only it is possible, it has already happened. Which brings me to open call for Putin-wonna-be's in this game https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/d-o-m-i-n-e-a-r-t-h-i-o-n.494131/ . The year is 2020, Putin is rulling over Russian block of the modern world (Russia, Venezuela, Turkey and Kazakhstan). One of the few players that still has nukes. And while EU declared a war on China -- Russia is at peace, but for how long? Whoever joins us will decide! Please PM me.
