Civ4 Warlords - OT game?

I picked hannibal as my first choice. So why is it someone that had him listed as their second choice got hannibal. Shouldnt one of us that had him as choice number 1 get him?

I'm guessing because it's fairer that you both get 2nd choice rather than one of you get first choice and the other 3rd choice.

as for doubel move..doesnt matter..kinda like them when I do it but not when its done to me.

Excellent question. The following is the complete list of choices people gave me. The reason you got Wang Kon is because if I'd given you Hannibal, Rhymes would have gone down to his third choice (Mansa Musa) which would have also dropped Azzaman to his third choice, which he now has anyway because he didn't actually want his second choice.

Javy: Napoleon/France, Frederick, Roosevelt
De Lorimier: Shaka/Zulu, Ragnar, Brennus
Sparta: Brennus/Celt, Hannibal, Cyrus
Robboo: Hannibal/Carthage, Wang Kon, Mansa Musa
RB: Tokugawa/Japan, Ragnar, Shaka
Davo: Stalin/Russia, Ragnar, Brennus
Azza: Ragnar/Vikes, MansaMusa, Montezuma (but didn't actually want MansaMusa)
Kan: Bismarck/Germany, Catherine, Elizabeth
Truro: Churchill/England, Brennus, Saladin
BCLG: anything but Montezuma/Qin/Mao
VRWC: Qin/China, Mao, random
Shane: Ragnar/Vikes, Kublai, Mao
Elrohir: Cyrus/Persia, Wang Kon, Ragnar
Igloodude: Cyrus/Persia, Genghis, Washington
Rhymes: Ragnar/Vikes, Hannibal, MansaMusa

Anyway, the short version is, this way everyone got their first or second choice except Brettman who signed up after everyone else (and yes Rhymes responded with choices a few hours late but given he's on holiday or something in Europe I decided to group him with the timely folks).

EDIT cross post... Gotcha and thats makes sense. No problem and hopefully no one thinks I was complaining. Really just wanted to understand the selction better.

You do, just leave your address out on the registration, or maybe just uncheck the box in player settings.
