Did anyone else notice that we seem to have totally lost Bazza as he hasn't connected in 7 turns? So whoever it is that's at war with him (I forget who it was currently) must be getting some nice easy war. Bazza should immediately be set to AI, as this makes it a bit unfair to the rest of us.

Bazza is booted to AI, pending his return (or if I get ahold of him).

Good spot, and all please don't hesitate to let me know (or note it in this thread) when someone misses several turns without letting anyone know.

Me and Sparta are at war with him. To be honest, the war was already won when he gave up. It's more a matter of finishing it. But now I have to log in and contend with the remmants of his pesky units. Hopefully the AI is being dumb so I can kill 'em quick.

And until you'd said that, I was tempted to take over his civ myself...

In at least one other game I'm running, folks have asked for a Christmas break in the game. Anyone here interested in one? It makes no difference to me, and it'll only take a few people answering yes to get one.

I would say yes
from the 20th to the 3rd

at least 12/24 to 1/1 would be nice.

I'll go with the flow. Break, no break, makes no difference to me. I won't be playing Christmas day itself probably, but that's the only day I'd definitely need a break from.

Gee, thanks a lot. ;) I already miss brettman - he'd just completed a worker for me in his capital, and now since you've switched him to AI the computer has upgraded a Quechua to an Axe and made my job much more annoying. (FWIW, apparently standing on the road to a copper mine oddly does not suffice to deny an enemy copper - I just learned that the hard way.) It is now going to take over a week to finish off his reinforced capital. I wish he was still building workers. ;) (no offense, brettman - just kidding around.)

And Azzaman333 was right, AFAICT - I think brettman played his last turn when he sent all available units to meet my invading army in the open field. It did not turn out well for him anyway.

(As to the war itself, the Celtic peoples are a peaceful and good-natured civilization, but were forced to act when we saw the possibility of one of our neighbors absorbing another through outright aggression. This war began simply as a peace-keeping mission to get brettman off Davo's back; it only turned into a city-taking expedition when the opportunity presented itself. Due to the lack of Romans to extract pseudo-vengeance on, the Celtic people fully plan on returning to their peaceful ways upon finishing off the remnants of the Incan Empire.)

(Oh yeah and I'm indifferent on the break thing as well. Whatever works out is fine by me.)

Personally I'd rather just keep going, but I suppose a break might be good to. I've got plenty of other games, both PTBS and PBEM to keep me occupied.

Keep it minimal, say 24-26th is enough.

I'd say 23rd Dec - 2nd Jan. Either way I'm going down to the be away from the 26th - probably about 10th (unsure how long) without Civ access.
Thats ages:eek:

I mean I'm sure everyone would he happy to agree not to war with you in that time anyways:) You just que building and tech orders and automate workers!

If people are this bothered about a break, then just send your nation passwords to me and I'll take care of them while you enjoy the festive period! :mischief:

Disclaimer: Sharuminar Empire Babysitting Co. takes no responsibility for the loss of workers, military units, buildings, gold, technology, cities or nations during the caretaking period.

I signed an Open Border agreement with azzaman333 some time ago. He explored my territory. But just when my scout reaches Aztec border he closes the deal. Azzaman333 won't be a friend of mine in this game, and I suggest other people to be reserved when dealing with him as well.

Good to know ...... I'll keep a close eye on him. Any in-game feedback is good :goodjob:
