Out of curiosity, which civilization did you use to achieve the Metropolis Victory? I would imagine India and Kong as prime candidates, but not sure if any other civ could pull it off.

Also, how did you manage the amenities issue for a 50 population city?

I used Gorgo's Greece. At the time I had the target set to 60 population, managed to reach population 52 by about turn 470. At that point I realized that 60 was too much of an ask so I dropped it to 50 (nice round number). With my city surrounded by mostly
flat grassland I was able to build a lot of farms and could gain an extra population every 7 or 8 turns between population 30 - 45.

Almost every trade route I could create was also sent from the metropolis city in order to gain the food from the route and help with growth. Also picked the 10% growth Pantheon belief too.

When I first tested the Metropolis victory you could overlap Stadiums for extra amenities. I built the Colosseum and Stadium wonders, and had about 8 luxuries. Found that housing and growth were the limiting factors more than amenities.
The policies I have added that provide extra housing, growth and amenities (not all in one though) should help a bit, as should a religion if you can manage to found one (which I was not able to do on Emperor).

greyTiger updated CiVI Reformation Victories with a new update entry:

    CiVI Reformation Victories

Note: It seems that winning a game using one of my victories is no longer triggering victory achievements in Steam. This is probably due to me triggering the end game screen directly since version 1.4. I don't have a solution at this point but will investigate if this is something I can resolve.

Hi greyTiger! Congratulations for your work. It is, by far, one of the best mod out there, great job!

    I've encountered two minor flaws:

    - First one occurs when playing the game in another language other than english. As you can see in the first pic the resource list from the economic victory panel doesnt display correctly when using another language due the names of the resource doesnt match whit their icon name. I've managed to get it to work with every language (second pic) by making some edits that i can share with you if you want.

    Original:

    Corrected:

    - The second one is in the Diplomatic Tab. As you can see in this pic i am at peace with every major civ (Although denounced by Scythia) , i have embassy with all of them and i have two allies, but seems that i have not meet the requirements yet.

Thanks for the feedback and the heads up on the issues. Very much appreciated.

Hmmm. Seems I stuffed up there. I have updated the icons to be constructed from the resource type rather than the name, this will fix the problem I believe.

There is a small typo in the function that creates the text for the major civs label that prevents the tick being added when the conditions are met. This only affects the label and will be fixed in the next patch.

I've just completed my last game. I won with a Diplomatic Victory. I had to do a lot of concessions to become the leader of the world. It was very funny, thank you for the mod.

I just now created an account here to let you know that I just won a Metropolis victory on King level difficulty with Rome. I had thought that amenities were going to be a problem, but with people declaring war on me, then suing for peace 10 turns later and offering up all of their luxury goods, it wasn't that bad. Here are a couple pictures from the turn before I won (turns out that you only get the victory the turn after you hit 50). Let me know if there's any other information that you'd like about how the game went!

@Auda Glad that you enjoyed the diplomatic victory :)

@Orloff I think the metropolis victory may be the toughest to achieve so well done on the win. The victory enabled the turn after you hit 50 as I check for the victory conditions being met in the OnLocalPlayerTurnStart event. Thanks for posting the images, unfortunately they are not showing up for me. Glad that you are enjoying the mod so far :)

Have not added much more to the mod since the last patch (had family visiting), but intend to release version 1.5 with the Industrial victory by next weekend. Also working on my second mod, a rankings screen that shows the top cities and civilizations in several categories every X number of turns. Should also have the first version of that mod out this coming week too :)

Hmm... At the risk of hijacking, let me take one more stab at those images... The first attempt shows up fine for me, but there might be some weird permissions thing going on?

While the links don't show in the thread, I was able to follow them to view the images. Great work on achieving the victory, and hitting 50 population by turn 329 is very impressive.

It seems that the new patch has broken the victories mod. The new team support has been added in the WorldRankings.lua file in a number of places and I will need to update my code to accommodate this. Hopefully have it sorted this weekend.

I have removed the version from the workshop for now. :(

Hope you get it fixed soon. I haven't had the chance to play with your mod yet. Please keep me updated. I'm looking forward to it.

Version 1.5 has been released to the steam workshop. It includes a new Industrial victory and 3 additional policies (War Footing, Foreign Aid and Protectionism)

Cool! I hope you are able to do the Conquest (like Civ IV) victory condition at some time. Just taking out capitols in Civ 6, for a Domination victory, is too easy.

I will continue to update the mod here for the immediate future. The 1.5.1 version should be here later today.
