I think Hittites is still possible as a meme. I think @bite 's mapping requires it.Oh and because I haven't said it yet - I'm incredibly excited for Babylon and Hammurabi!
I'm just sad we aren't getting them AND Hittites/Assyria. Oh well.
If you focus just on Indochina it does seem like we have barely anything from the region. But if you focus on SE Asia as a whole we also have Indonesia as well as Bandar Brunei and Singapore as city-states.It's not just the city-states. It's any sort of representation. Between India and China we only have one civ, one wonder (from that same civ), one natural wonder (from the only other civ we are getting), and no city-states. Parsing specifics doesn't seem to overcome the fact that they have been outright ignoring the Indochine spectrum altogether for years.
It was already taken down hours ago. Finally! The tags mean something! Also if anyone has a switch, can you see if this is legit?
I think he'll still have as much fun with Babylon.I think Hittites is still possible as a meme. I think @bite 's mapping requires it.![]()
I'm pretty sure one of them will appear for Pack 6.I was hoping for Portugal or another Native American civ.

Even so they aren't totally ignoring it as much as North Africa.
Any specific monument to go off of? I'm not so sure of a unique monument when they get their own unique graphics in the first place depending on the culture. But fine, I can live with this choice because Hammurabi's leader model looks rly cool and I can imagine a gorgeous monument replacement as the UI (the UU will probably the a slinger replacement?)
Geronimo is definitely a male.As far as the last civ is concerned, don't the Cherokee or the Apache have a female leader option available to them? That would fit the 6M/3F, 4New/4Old/1Alt pattern of previous expansions. Otherwise, I'd say the last civ is just Portugal lol.
Ack going Babylon over Assyria, SERIOUSLY.Assyria and the Hittites are so robbed, every time when they should be base-game staples.

If not Nineveh, Ebla could work if they want to keep it in Middle Eastern region. What CS you guys think will be replacing Babylon and still have the same suzerain bonus (I hope is not Nineveh)
I assume Babylon will have an ancient walls replacement

Seriously though I can't think of a female option for the Apache. The Cherokee have Nanyehi as a possible option but I would assume that the Iroquois with Jigonhsasee would still be the safer choice.
It's probably just going to be Maria the Mad for Portugal though.
Like I said above, Ebla, Mari, and Nineveh would all make sense for the exact same ability. My first thought would actually be Byblos or Ugarit if they weren't on Phoenicia's city list. What CS you guys think will be replacing Babylon and still have the same suzerain bonus (I hope is not Nineveh)
Most likely yes, but I hope not. I detested Babylon's "turtle up and click 'til you win" design in Civ V and would prefer they move towards more interesting territory (especially since Korea already has that design in VI.)
A Library replacement would be better, IMO, particularly if it tied into "government and infrastructure" in some way (though I don't off-hand know what that could look like.)
I'd expect a Kudurru to be a UI, not a Monument replacer. A boundary stone in the middle of the city doesn't make much sense...If Babylon gets an unique Monument, the Kudurru would work i guess, the normal yields of culture from a monument are turn into science, additionally gives +2 Great Writter points and if the city is fully loyal it also give +2 great Scientist points, also every time you use a great scientist in a city with a Kudurru it will upgrade its wall to the next level if you had already research that wall.
I'd like to see Babylon retain some of its city-state characteristics, and give its CS replacement (say Nineveh) a new ability altogether. How about a "code of laws" ability for Hammurabi which gives science from great works of writing, like the old CS ability? And a wall of babylon that has a slot for great works of writing to go along with it.
Agreed. I don't care if he was in the last game; Nebuchadrezzar II would be a much more interesting leader. On the other hand, if Hammurabi's VA butchers Akkadian as badly as Gilgabro does we can at least blame his Amorite accent.I always thought Nebuchadnezzar II was more interesting myself, and certainly not a proponent of the "turtle in your walls and click until you win strategy." And he'd be more likely to swap out the chariot than the archer as a UU. Just my two-bits, there.
All I hear is H'amourabi's Amourite accent when he speaks about Code of Love..Agreed. I don't care if he was in the last game; Nebuchadrezzar II would be a much more interesting leader. At least it could have a Great work of Writing slot.A Library replacement would be better, IMO, particularly if it tied into "government and infrastructure" in some way (though I don't off-hand know what that could look like.)
I can't see them going for any female leader over notable Apache chiefs like Geronimo or Cochise, personally. The Apache have Gouyen, but I'm not sure how okay that would be. Cherokee appear to something going for them and I would support that.
I talked earlier about how it might be interesting if Babylon is a playable city-state, like how Venice was in Civ 5.I'd like to see Babylon retain some of its city-state characteristics, and give its CS replacement (say Nineveh) a new ability altogether. How about a "code of laws" ability for Hammurabi which gives science from great works of writing, like the old CS ability?
