Or Pena Palace in Sintra. I think its much more interesting than the Belem Tower.![]()
It also fits really well with Civ 6's colourful art style.

The visual appeal taken apart (which is gorgeous and would very neatly fill the map), since it's in the middle of a forest, we could finally have our Forest Petra/Chichen Itza/Halicarnassus/St Basil/Huey! Like "Every forest tile without improvement in the city gain +1 culture, gold and science" or anything like this!
Or even better: since the Palace is in a 200 ha forest park, that the park has been designed with the Palace and that both the park and the palace are very interconnected, we could link it to National Parks? I mean, I don't record any WW having any effects on national parks. So, something like:
"Must be built on a hill. Grants a Naturalist upon completion. Each city with a National Park gain +10% culture and tourism."
Would be neat!

this is the one near Tire, I believe. We discussed it when we found out November was MoorTires and the possibility of Portugal being the November civOr Pena Palace in Sintra. I think its much more interesting than the Belem Tower.

Sooo is there any clues yet whether the next pack will have civs from Europe, North America, Asia, or Oceania?
I heard that Asia is sort of leaked in the Ethiopian Pack. Then Venice was kinda confirmed in August being likely Lisbon. While there’s no evidence that Oceania is confirmed, I would like to see another Oceania Civ due to being underrepresented in CivFanatics and the Civ community in general. There’s also no leaks on North America that I know of.Sooo is there any clues yet whether the next pack will have civs from Europe, North America, Asia, or Oceania?
Middle east, broadly defined, is quite likely as well. I'm expecting one for this month and the other for November. We know it's unlikely to be Asia because pack #5 has been "soft leaked".
Europe is the most likely continent to be in a pack with 2 Civs.
It's unlikely to be East Asia but other parts, specifically the Middle East, is a possibility. We know it's unlikely to be Asia because pack #5 has been "soft leaked".

I think it should just be adjacent to the city center with ancient walls built as the requirement.I agree Statue of Zeus is likely to come and though I find the Gate of Ishtar equally likely I wonder how it would look visually? It should be part of some bigger structure (since your bulders won't just build it in some museum or something), right? Or was it historically standalone?
It would be neat if they could extend the city walls to it.I think it should just be adjacent to the city center with ancient walls built as the requirement.
The many excavated parts of it are currently in museums but it originally lead into the inner city of Babylon.

And turns them indigo. It would be neat if they could extend the city walls to it.
Personally I feel that Joao II, his great-grandson, is more likely to be in than both Joao I and Maria. Still possible and he would be way better than Maria.* The leader will almost certainly be Joao I because he best suits an exploration age Portugal.
* The leader will almost certainly be Joao I because he best suits an exploration age Portugal. The next most likely leader would be Maria, but she was criticized as a poor choice in V because she went mad, she didn't reign as long as Joao, and she lived centuries after the age of exploration. And I don't think we will get anything too contemporaneous with Philip either.
I'm a bit meh on the choice, but I guess Joao does have a cool HAT and might be a bit more nerdy/effete than Philip which would help differentiate the two Iberian civs.
I'm fairly confused how you have a) chosen a leader which most haven't considered especially likely as being 'almost certain', and b) then are critiquing your own improbable leader pick as though that is actually what they have selected. Perhaps you meant Joao II? He is a more popular choice and would be returning from Civilization IV.
I also don't see how you think Maria is the next most likely, since I'd say Manuel I and possibly also João III would be more likely alternatives also anyway, since Maria was already in the last entry in the series and isn't an especially popular or well regarded ruler anyway. Mostly people are only wanting her to return because they know her from being in Civilization V I would say. If they wanted a ruler from a later period João V, the 'Portuguese Sun King' might be a better choice.
I'm still annoyed that they turned the serious (one might even say grim), introverted Philip II into Don Juan meets d'Artagnan played by Antonia Banderas.Joao does have a cool HAT and might be a bit more nerdy/effete than Philip
