[NFP] Civilization VI: Possible New Civilizations Thread

Not the Orca, the "chilliness" from the beanie and the acting of drinking a hot beverage. They take a second too long on him like they do with Kevin holding the barbarian, and it's a bit too similar to Tronster's Top Hat & Sherry/Port. And it might be a reference to the game mode, not a Civ, though the more I think about it the more I want a Inuit Civ :p.

Unless it is not a hot beverage, but it is beer, and they are hinting Finland . Would make the Scandinavia-Russia zone to crowded maybe (considering Civ6 Rusia capital is St. Petersburg)

I've just found out that the Ancestral Navajo had some very nice mugs. If any of them produced fancy bubble hat I have a new main suspect

Do they have an Ancestral Navajo Etsy? :p

Don't get my hopes up.
I don't find it likely considering they live in the desert.

Im very lost with this, what is the "Orca stuff" about

This was found under the mug in the video.

This. To expand upon it, some are *possibly* theorizing that it could be a hint towards a PNW Native or an Inuit civ, considering how some background elements and minor details in the past have teased future civs.

I don't think the Orca hints at anything really, not once it was revealed it's literally a company which makes imprints for ceramics. It would only mean something if Chang had taken it from elsewhere and put it under the mug on purpose. But clearly the label came with the mug.

So the label almost definitely means nothing. But the mug & beanie does!

Also the "oh look at me chugging on this nice warm cocoa, chug, chug, chug, chug... oh Hi Mark, didn't see you there!"

Is a reference to orca nothing to do with Lady Trieu's quote about killing orcas in the open sea?
If so, those whales are far from home... and I'm pretty sure she said sharks, not whales.

Oh for F-

Really? Orca's? That's the latest tinfoil hat theory? I wasn't aware I accidentally wandered into a cabal of English Lit teachers discussing the imaginary symbolism behind every environmental detail. "The curtains in little Timmy's room were blue to emulate his inner sadness and lack of friends" is the same argument really!

Sometimes the curtains are just blue because they are blue. Give it a rest.

*cries in English Lit major* :(

Eh, that's kind of our thing here. You've been here before me, so you should know that we CivFanatics are all conspiracy theorists.

There is no theory. You sound like you had that comment gaining dust in a drawer and needed a reason to use it.

I mentioned the orca and asked if someone could identify the label. notNamed identified the label. The end.

I tough it would look more "Native" with you guys doing speculation with the Haida and Inuit, but that just looks like SeaWorld like park regalia to me :v
When this is all over an Orca should take the place of saying it's a red herring probably. :mischief:

Naturally ;-) Have I ever given you the impression I don't have an answer for everything? :p

True, you have been reasonably sane. I know where this discussion leads however. Someone asks a critical question, it gets turned into hare-brained theory predicting unrevealed content based on zero evidence, we get our hopes up, it doesn't come to pass, tooth-gnashing disappointment for everyone.

Then the Devs read our collective meltdowns during their lunch break, laugh at us while sipping their lattes, jokingly asking each other "haha, can you imagine if we *actually* did that" "should we?" "ha ah you're joking" "Actually, I wasn't" " well it is such a bad idea no one will see coming... we have to do it" "yeah, i agree, it's gonna be FUN".

It's how we got Tamar, after all.

But until such things come to pass, let's just retain a modicum of level-headedness, shall we?

You say that like it's a bad thing. :mischief: (A little disappointed with how they presented her as clinically paranoid with a bizarre obsession for walls that somehow equate to "Georgian spirit," but I'm not sorry they included her...)
