CivIVNES

Spoiler Focuses :
Expansion in terms of empire development, Passivity for dealing with other nations and cultures.

Spoiler Geography :
For the Northern Sea, it is the Sea of Glass, and the southern is marked as the Duskborn Sea. The forest surrounding Beacon is the Blackwood, inside of which are many of the upper Taoruun Highlands. To the southwest in the great plains, the name for the local area is the Southronn Hinterlands, and to the northwest is the Silver Coast. To the east lays the Finger of Fate, the peninsula that stretches on into uncharted places.

Spoiler Foci :

Spirit. We shall walk the Path Between The Waters, pursuing this thought to its apotheosis. Consider raising temples, sites where the faithful can worship; acquire the capability to do so, at least, if the food situation permits.

In our dealings with foreigners, we shall be Passive, encouraging trade and contact.

The lakes near Chaoyang are, simply, the Waters, brother and sister.

The Father of Waters, stern and unforgiving, lies to the north of the Half Mountain, the plateau upon which we build our city.

The rest are barbarian lands, un-named and uninteresting.

Order:
Spoiler :
Development: Grand Chief Jarken received word from his scouts of a good little area to the northwest of Dorjin that could possibly be a good for his people to settle and keep mental note of that area. After listen to his scouts Jarken order his scout to keep on exploring in hope of discover new area that could be potential for future Targan lands. Dismissing his scout Jarken till wait for when the Dorjin farmers get to work on provide food for his people.

Geography:
Spoiler :
As the years goes the Targani people gave the river that run around their village a name. The name of the river was Doonic and it pour into the Gentoe Sea.

Spoiler Foreign :
Maintain an aggressive stance, but leave alone peoples who are useful to us somehow. Try to get stuff out of our new neighbors one way or another.

Spoiler Domestic :
Hmm. Generally be kinda expansionistic. Our civilization could very naturally tend to try and fill out borders towards the other civilization. Either trade or raid could result. I think we'd avoid focusing on religion for the most part (we'll convert to the first really big faith that comes along). For culture, look into the theater route rather than the temple route -- though I realize that's a ways down the road.

Spoiler Names :
Hmm. Northern mountains: Shawik Mountains. Big Ocean: The Tatki

The boy fought to hold back his tears. His mother didn't. His sister didn't. But that was ok. They were women. Foldren was a man. He could not show tears...not even as his father was about to die.

The band of eight men stood, about ready to leave the tribe, their families giving their final goodbyes. Foldren's father comforted his daughter first, and then his mother. As Foldren struggled to choke back his tears, his father knelt beside him. He lifted Foldren's head up so that he could look one last time into his son's eyes.

"Foldren. Listen carefully now. I am not coming back" Foldren was abot to let out a sob as his father covered his mouth "Listen Foldren! There is no room for tears. Only these parting words. I will not return. Lose all hope of that now. I need you to be brave for me now. Your mother and sister will need you to look after them. You will hunt for them. You are the man in their lives. When it is time for your sister to take a man, you will ensure he is a good hunter, a man who will provide for her. Only then do you have permission to give her. You will live a good long life. I have taught you well. Hunt, fight. Honor the Gods, and love your woman. That is the best I can give you. If you do this, nothing in the world is too large for you. Have your children, and when its your time to join the Recon Corps, do it with pride and honor. It is to serve the Gods and to serve our tribe. Remember this."

His father turned to the rest of the men "Recon Corps! Lets move out!"

Orders for Civoria

Spoiler :
Proceed with the settlement of a city near the pigs (preferably on the coast), build archers to adequately defend both cities, while producing a few workers to get mines, road networks and pastures on Civoria's resources.

As far as foreign policy, we'll be balanced until we meet a real civilization like Civoria.

Names of Places

Spoiler :
Will make names with more maps :)

Lurker's comment: Oh right, about that #nes thing: I'd love to join the queue.

Weshanka

Spoiler :
Exploration - Tatranika, the second Sovereign, has chosen to look past his adopted father's realm. He eventually approved the foundation of a new city to the east, sending builders, priests and his own representatives to expand his authority. Likewise, he sent out armed delegations to explore further in that direction. The disposition towards any peoples encountered was Friendly, until their actions might force this to change; the delegation's weapons were intended more for warding off wild animals and monsters that are known to roam beyond the limits of the Sovereign's beneficent rule.

What kind of names are you looking for though, Thlayli? Evocative English language names or exotic-sounding Localese?

Gardia

Spoiler :

Development and Passive responses

The Gardians were never a warlike people, not very possesive to their lands. The thing that is considered the most important for a Gardian is his life, even at the cost of his freedom. He will fight only when his lives at at risk, making the Gardians rather passive and weak when dealing with others.

But while passive in war, they are amazing traders, managing to get the best deal of anything, and using this trading diplomatic skill in their actual diplomacy has also proven well. They tend to negotiate out of trouble, rather then to fight or surrender...

In the far west the scouts report a great mountain range and the shamans speak that it may be the end of the world. Reports of a great salty sea, greater than the Salak Lake, have come to the capital, but are considered by most as nothing more then silly rumors.

I honestly think that I would prefer exotic sounding localese for geography, except in the cases of vaguely Germanic/English civilizations where it's more linguistically realistic. So, for example, I'd encourage Taoron to come up with more Celtic/Nordic sounding names and Chaoyang to come up with more Far Eastern ones.

Still hoping for orders from Iggy, Omega, and azale (sort of, he gave me #nes guidelines). Beginning the tortuous update process.

Will do. In all honesty I was trying to avoid grand titles because it doesn't seem right at this point, but I'll try to make a move towards that in the future.

The Weshanka live in the Wethen Plain, south of the Helit Sea.

Also, the feat of Barana the Cat-Slayer, a folk hero of the southern Weshanka, will be commemorated by granting our first armed delegation the privilege of wearing panther hides and the name of Panther Warriors, or Theguraka.

Spoiler Abellie :
Firstly, we shall continue with our spirtual ways. Develop this crude religion more, but focus primarily on the sea goddess rather than the nature god. Creates rites pertaining to her, legends where she is the hero, and in other words make her the focal point of the religion. In fact, welcome a religious prigilmage to go north to the hills by the coast, settling a city there to be even closer to the sea goddess. However, keep nature alive as well. Don't cut down the forests; live in harmony with it.We shall act passivly to all foreigners as well. As long as the foreign barbarians don't try to pillage our lands and our forest, we don't care about them. Our culture is superior to all; we don't need to associate ourselves with them. By all means do not contact them unless we're contacted by them, and don't associate ourselves with foreigners at all

Eh, Abeilland just sounds more right to me, but I trust you. I don't really care either way.

Spoiler :
The Great Mountans of Ukmal present a border to our people. We shall seek to expand our suzerainty in the lands to their south, turning the primitive villages surrounding Akat'nuku into new cities, where our many gods may be venerated. Kuxma, the land of hills and many lakes to our west, shall be a good place for such development.

In general, be expansionistic, and focus on cultural and religious development.
