If I was American, I'd vote Hillary just so we could see what would happen.

I think we all know what's going to happen but people want to pretend they don't because it's going to be miserable for everyone involved who isn't in the Clinton circle.

The interesting thing to watch is going to be who will get duped a third time and willingly used as a doormat.

Editing in the New York Time's Planet Hillary because it's always relevant

I liked this bit,

'Cos, like, you'd think the metaphor of a "melting pot" was pretty simple, right? Like it's the sort of phrase they invent to explain complex sociological processes to children? But somehow Jindal manages to get it exactly wrong?

Jindal is only second generation - it takes a lot longer than that to get immigrants to understand anything about America.

Huckabee either thinks we are forcing Christians to get gay married or that we should outright ban the sale of bacon - can't really tell which one:

Asking a Christian to accept same-sex marriage, Huckabee said, is "like asking someone who's Jewish to start serving bacon-wrapped shrimp in their deli."

"We don't want to do that — I mean, we're not going to do that," he said. "Or like asking a Muslim to serve up something that is offensive to him, or to have dogs in his backyard.

It seems prone to now become a smelter instead :mischief:

Does Rand Paul being antivax count for the clown car thread or the other one.

Antilogic has a thread on 2016 for candidates that have already announced. This thread is for the unofficial Clown Car - candidates declared or undeclared and the circus they are already providing.

Thread House Rules: Please no Red Diamondish posts.

Thank you, reading thru several pages about Jim Webb aint my cup of tea. But Jindal's Indian, both new and old world Indians have reason to be skeptical of immigrants and their cultures.

Uncle Ben Carson:

And then you had to go and do that... What did he say in your post to earn that disgusting insult?

How did he get it exactly wrong?

Paul endorses vaccinations, he's just not pro-mandate

Paul endorses vaccinations, he's just not pro-mandate

That's functionally anti-vaccination. Plus he thinks they cause autism.

Paul responded that he has “heard of many tragic cases of walking, talking normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines,” though he was sure to note that he wasn’t arguing vaccines are a “bad idea.”

You'd think he'd want autism to spread to the general population, as it seems the only way that anyone would vote for him on a grand scale.

Now that's a hot and zesty take

No, stay with me. If the vaccines did spread autism, I'm wondering why the CIA hasn't paradropped a whole bunch of them into Afghanistan and Iraq, then wait several years?

Granted, they did do something like that, but with no autism and only to find Saddam.

There's a thread about Jim Webb if the posts in this thread offend your politically correct sensibilities. Nicknaming a candidate after a brand name product doesn't seem that bad to me.

Though it would seem to expose you to a civil suit when the product's sales drop precipitously.

If someone says vaccinations can cause harm to some people they're functionally anti-vax? But they can cause harm. Are doctors anti-vax for telling the truth? Do any doctors say vaccines dont harm people? Paul endorsed vaccinations, MSNBC has even showed him doing so while painting him as anti-vax.

So you're pretending you didn't call him an Uncle Tom because you replaced Tom with Ben. Yippee, I'm so thrilled we pay people like you to be lawyers. You didn't answer the question, what did he say to earn that insult?

"children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines" is an anti-vaxxer untruth, the autism to vaccine link is completely bogus.

And yeah, advocating vaccines be "voluntary" is different to "some kids have immune or allergy issues and can't be vaccinated". That talk of harm to immunodeficient or allergic kids is only valid if it's followed up with pointing out that kids who can potentially be harmed by vaccines are the reason vaccination needs to be mandatory for everyone else. Paul's taking the exact opposite approach and helping to endanger herd immunity and the vulnerable kids who rely on everyone else.

So yeah, antivax by his own statements.
