Nikodemus
Demigod
Pre-turn:
Core cities look pretty good, not much to improve. We can afford 10% less lux though.
Some of the corrupt cities are building pretty interesting stuff. A factory in a city with
80% (=max) corruption?
IBT: Lux deal with Aztecs is up for renewal, they want a little more than we gave before.
I'm a little concerned about giving them all that gpt but I think we need the happiness.
Turn 1, 1605AD:
Lose a tank while burning Ica. Set sights on securing the rubber and oil as well as the wines
on the Inca island.
IBT: Aztecs and Incas sign peace.
Turn 2, 1610AD:
Move more troops towards Macchu Picchu. Shenandoah pops up (again) while clearing a couple of Inca
invaders. Contemplate for a moment between tank and mechinf-army. Mixed army actually sounds
very neat, so 3 tanks and a mechinf it is.
Turn 3, 1615AD:
Most of the artillery is finally in place and Macchu Picchu falls easily without any losses.
A small taskforce is ready to land near Manp'o next turn and I realize I forgot to bring a settler
for raze&replace. Oh well, I guess someone's gonna have to stand in guard outside the city.
IBT: Aztecs finish the UN.
Turn 4, 1620AD:
Steal Fission from Greece. Both Aztecs and Greece have two sources of U, we have one and Korea has one.
Neither of the Aztecs sources is on their main continent. Ours is on the English plains.
Turn 5, 1625AD:
Aztecs just learned Synthetic Fibers. Cuzco has a few more defenders than I had anticipated, but
we manage to take it with some casualties. They have Universal Suffrage in there, but I figure
the flip risk would be just unbearable.
Turn 6, 1630AD:
We just learned Synthetic Fibers.
Declare on Korea and land near Manp'o. Burn Sariwon.
IBT:
They strike at Oiogouen, Reading, the Incan island, land troops at the southern island and bomb
Onnontare. Also our little fleet that took tanks to conquer aluminum is practically toast. The
good news is that we only lose a few units and some workers.
Turn 7, 1635AD:
We finally take Manp'o, but Korea, Inca and Aztecs together block all the trade routes, so we can't
bring the aluminum in yet. Looking at the options I feel we need it right now, and since neither
Korea nor Aztecs want to talk with us, that means a peace treaty has to be signed with the Incas.
Another option would be to wait a couple of more turns, when we probably could burn the Inca city
that blocks the trade route, but I'd rather concentrate on the Aztecs. Sign Greece into an alliance
against the Aztecs. Cornplanter shows up. Burn Troy and 2 bombers with it. The Aztecs have some
10 armors already and we're a little thin in defense.
IBT: Bede's Division takes one for the team, but other than that the Aztecs don't get much done.
Turn 8, 1640AD:
Burn and replace Tlalmanalco. I'm proud to announce that we are in control of
saltpeter!
Turn 9, 1645AD:
Burn and replace a couple of more Aztec cities.
IBT: Aztecs add docking bay to their space ship. Manp'o flips but we have 5 tanks standing outside
of it.
Turn 10, 1650AD:
Burn and replace the last Aztec city on our home continent. Get another leader while retaking
Manp'o.
Some notes as usual:
- We just landed on the little island that holds the only rubber source the Aztecs have. There prolly
isn't enough force to burn the whole island yet, but it should be well enough to deny that rubber
from them.
- All the visible Aztec transports are empty.
- A more permanent solution to our aluminum needs would be appreciated, but the seas might be a little
dangerous. There's also that empty army near Manp'o, as I didn't want to make yet another ancient
tank-army.
- I would suggest the following line of action: Grab the last couple of cities the Aztecs have on that
other island, then look into denying their access to uranium (and rubber but that should be easy now), while
preparing a landing force.
Comparing our military with that of the Aztecs:
