That is because you weren't working the farm so it went into disrepair. this feature was added to AND and got carried over to C2C. If you work the farm the forest should clear after one turn.

Interesting. I had no clue that happened. :eek:
 
They are always pink for me because of low graphics settings. I suspect that one of the duplicate graphics files I removed wasn't a duplicate after all. I will hunt it up.

Hello guys,
I have a CTD on the same turn every time i used older auto saves with no effect it was crashing on 15.1 and now on 16.
My machine should be more than enough to run the mod.
I would be very thankfull if someone could fix it or tell me what to do:)
(just to say if it means something with the crash i used the money cheat)

I believe saves are only compatible with newer versions if you had saved in Max Compatibility format.

Not sure why you need a money cheat. It's quite abundant in C2C at the moment :king:

I use the max compatibility format. The cheat i use always never have i tried without so i don't know if i need it or not.

You mentioned auto-saves, which I think are "Original BTS" format and not "Max Compatibility." Is your save file not from auto-save?

This save is not i used a autosave to open the game then I saved the game as a max compatibility. I had saved the game just 1 turn before the crash and the crash occurred just after the autosave on the next turn

Right. So you're taking an autosave from an older version, then loading it into a newer version, THEN saving as Max Compat, correct?

What you need is to load the game using that old version, save as Max Compat (if that is an option in that version, if not, you're hosed), and THEN load it into the current version.

Nope I loaded the max save and then end-ed turn and then there was the new autosave which i used to make a max save. But the game crashed on this turn even before the update from v15.1

Ok. I think it's more clear now. :goodjob: If it doesn't load with the newest DLL in the patch thread, then Koshling can probably take a look when he gets time.
 
@ Koshling:

I get a CTD when i take over the town as soon as the FIRST player moves into it. Its the one with all my troops ready to take over the Roman town.

The save position doesn't let me even try to attack - the city defenses are not reduced enough (though as far as I can see nothing in the UI tells you that or displays the remaining defense strength??).

If I go to the next turn and then bombard and attack after bombarding with the light artillary, I am able to attack and capture it without any problems. However, my assets are about 2 days out of date, so maybe it's some problem there. I'll update to the latest SVN after I look at another crash that was posted and then try it again.

Edit - managed to reproduce it after getting the latest assets. Working on diagnosis now...

Edit 2 - it was another Great Commanders bug. Fix pushed to SVN.

Thanks for the save game. CTD fixed and pushed to SVN. Unless you are updating via SVN you'll need to wait for a 16.1 release I'm afraid, as the DLL is tangled up with other XML changes so won't operate correctly stand-alone.
 
Not sure where to put this so choosing this location.

We've a game started on 15.1. After being plagued by non-repeatable OOS's we updated to v16 today. Seemed to work fine at first, able with no problem to take 4 turns. Then all of a sudden a repeatable OOS happened when Aussies activated Perth (not entering city, just build-queue function). A long error sequence (see pic) showed up for Australia and Assyria but not for Siam. Siam was the one with a different value in the Sync.

Can this be fixed at all?
