COmmon typing mistakes

What are some common typing mistakes you make?

Yes the title is one of them that I find myself doing because I don't release the shift button quick enough. Another one is not pressing the key hard enough so that a letter is missing. Not capitalising the "i" is a common one. Sometimes I find adding letters to a word that makes a completely different word than intended. Thank goodness for underlined words in the browser to help spot them, but I don't always catch them.

Not geting the double strike would be my most comon one I think.

Sometimes I wonder if my computer needs to have some sort of adjustment in a key repeat delay setting somewhere.

No, no. When I type fast, I tend to mystipe digraphs, i.e. pairs of letters pronounced as one sound, e.g. ng or ph.

Me too, but nowhere near as much as I miss that double strike letter thing.

Double strike? Oh, I see what you mean from your examples above. Yes. No, I don't tend to make that mistake. Generally, I tend to look through my posts and correct them. Briefly.

Again, me to. That's just the most common error I find to correct. It is most annoying when the dropped double strike still leaves a valid word though.

I see that some people here mention using browser error-detection software… I don't. First, because I read and write in a few languages and I don't want to have to switch it every time, secondly, because they're not very good, and thirdly, because they can't even see syntax, let alone semantics: 'I want you' and 'I want Lou' are equally valid for them and if 'Lou' is not included in the spellchecker's dictionary…

I do suspect, though, that Mr. tolni would be enormously gratified if an app was made which made all the j's in Croatian and other Latin-script Slavic languages be replaced with 'y' in his browser.

Besides, "y" isn't any better - it's just closer to how the letter that j replaces in the cases Takhisis used it. Truth is, transliteration is the devil. Anyone using it for anything beyond city names and names in general, should be killed on spot.

Do you mean Sis, or do you mean what? It's one letter that changes everything.

If you used the proper Cyrillic, I mean, Ćyrillic, you'd understand. I used the [SR] setting.
