Communism, Marxism, Socialism, Capitalism, What are your thoughts?

Can't you think for yourself or synthesize information and communicate it to other people?

Ask joji what they think of Black Lives Matter. then the joke of them calling Marx racist will be really funny

stoppingsocialism.com seems like a very reputable and unbiased source…

Racism is independent of culture, politics and economic systems lol.

I get the casual part of it, them vs us but when you seat thinking we're better than them or they need to die you're gonna have problems.

Here are some links on the discussion of Marx's racism. The first from an anarcho-communist's point of view, and the later from an anti-socialist's point of view. Videos are contained within the links as well. The first is mostly in video format. The second is an article with a video. Clearly it is a valid and ongoing debate with different conclusions from both sides.

Why should I waste time on your "was marx racist" thing? The law of headlines [corrected] applies: no he wasn't. Many capitalist of his time, however, were still making money buying and selling people or "lesser races". Or simply murdering them and taking their land.

Now go argue that Lincoln was a racist, I understand that is a hobby in the US also. For exactly the same reasons that move you on this "was marx racist" thing.

Besides doesn't anyone find it hypocritical that as soon as someone points out racist speech Marx said, no one cares? However when people find a few racist things that a U.S. president 100 years ago said, then people start going batshit crazy and start tearing down statues of them. No one ever tears down statues of Marx! Instead they defend him by either going into denial or proclaiming you can't judge a person like that "because they grew up in a different time" speech. If I were to defend a president with the whole "they grew up in a different time" speech, then people would call me racist and the person I was defending still objectionably racist. Kind of a double standard to me.

Oh go topple a Lincoln statue will you?
And some of us here were against such iconoclasm before you were even thinking about it, in case you hadn't noticed.

I don't really care about statues.

Because it's irrelevant whether he was racist or not.
The thread is about communism and communism is explicitly anti-racist.

Racism isn't confined to capitalism. Plenty of rascism in USSR and Cuba.

It's relevant because this is the very founder of communist thought we're talking about. If the founder of your ideology is a flaming racist, then the very core foundation of your ideology is of a racist origin. Which is very worrisome because that would mean communism is a racist ideology.

your idea of causation is interesting

Meh, the racist thing is moot. What I find hilarious is how he is contemptuously begging Engels for money.....a practical application of the negation of the negation

He had to flee to England and sponge off people to support himself lol.

You know that evil imperialist England that at the time was probably the liberal hotspot if the world.
