This could probably be done with the elimination method I mentioned before, but to speed it up have each team eliminate 2 civs per round? Or to do it even faster, each team name 8 civs they would accept. Anything with 2 or more votes is an option, and then random from those?

I am ok with all raisonable method. For me the objectiv is to play with "normal" civ. So these 2 method work for me. Or,we can also do "french" selection process with a short list.

I think what we are doing is making a list of 4 civs that we want, prioritized. I don't think we are eliminating any civs? Or do we want to rule out civs by nominating 2 to eliminate? (per team)

We propose to eliminate 2 civ in ordre to remove OP civs. And then make the selection french style.
Btw we do need à referee for the game, for the selection and for any eventualities.
An CFC admin can do It ?

With the french team, we decide to remove from the list :

Babylone and Korea.

I strongly recommend testing the BF Tool.
It is far better for our purposes than GMR.
Saves are distributed automatically to all players. The played save can be sent via e-mail.
No logging in, no Steam crap, ... no problems with replacement

These are fun, sign me up!

Edit: whoops, didn't realise only four teams, and no civplayers. What happened to NQ? It would be nice to get five teams. A game of four is pretty limited in terms of what can happen diplomatically. Also Apolyton or WePlayCiv might be interested.

I would like to join the CFC team. I think I know a few of these guys.

I have a little experience with ISDGs from one in Civ 3.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that. It'd be a pretty small team though, and I think I'd more enjoy being on a team with you, Tab, Islandia, etc. (I'd actually considered proposing a team from our series, Onan's Amigos , but you guys are all here already on the CFC team.)

I dunno if Kiffe was thinking along these lines. These games can be a lot of work for the 'officers', especially if they have the job of taking and posting screen shots. Usually these jobs are divided up, ie a Minister of War, minister of information, economic minister, chief diplomat, ambassadors etc. there is not just diplomacy between teams, but also internal politics that can happen around making game decisions.

I'm not saying it should be that way, but as you can see, some people get about them.
